I won’t get into the debate about Texas and development of talent, but every team uses the portal. If Hawaii could of landed skinner, fleck, akana, SKT etc I’m sure they would have loved them. Not as much as Texas does. Of course, but Hawaii would rather develop the majority of their players. Win a National Championship the way it is suppose to be won. Not go out and buy one. That is why I have a high regard for teams like Stanford, Wisconsin, Penn State, even Nebraska, cause they do not fill their roster with Transfers.

And tbh someone let me know when this game has been coded in VM. I want to know what Halter passed tonight….. Girl was MONEY in reception tonight. Passed some absolute dimes on some really tough Louisville serves. And essentially passing two with how often they were pinching Eggleston and Skinner (and Akana too for a little bit).

All I am saying is, Elliot is not as good a Head Coach as people make him out to be. One reason, he can not develop his own talent, has to win a National Championship, via the Transfer Portal. Elliot should try to win a National Championship developing his own players, instead of via the Transfer Portal. |

Obviously a win/win for all involved, but even if you're focused on more individual goals any competitor still wants to win. Some people are more willing to sacrifice their individual goals than others. That's not a bad thing per se. But it's tough at a program like Texas. I don't begrudge her going somewhere else. But there's zero chance she regrets her decision. Zero. I don't think she regrets her decision either, but you would think that as a highly competitive athlete the goal is to win in the process of developing. If all she cared about was developing into a pro with the chance to play on the National team and nothing else, she would have chosen a place worse than USC. In the end, both parties got what they ultimately wanted. |
