Madi’s fingers were taped for the championship game. When did she give in and start taping?? You might want to go back and watch one of Texas' press conferences in Omaha. I think it was Eggleston and Phillips who explained it in detail. That might have been the presser before the San Diego match. totally missed that one. Thanks.

I won't deny that Akana had some rough matches during the season where her serve receive broke down. And, a handful of Huskers fans liked posting their "i-told-you-so's" reminding us that she had similar matches while at NU. But, I'm not sure any of them came to eat some crow on Saturday night. Maybe some posted their compliments about her performance, but I didn't see them. I knew Louisville would target her with their serves, and she played lights out. Actually pretty sure jw did come back and say something. Classiest Nebraska poster on VT for sure My vote is for ted_heise, but I like jwvolley a ton, too. There are a slew of Nebraska posters I really enjoy. Personally I think they have a great fan base. Just root for the wrong team is all. And the hate for Texas is real. Makes for a fun rivalry, though. I’ll always wish we could have played them in the tournament. It would have been fun!

I don’t have access to the portal (sadly). I have one obvious guess and one less obvious but logical guess. I'll take Door #2 - less obvious but logical well if it’s not Parra, I kinda feel like Akana was never on scholarship and this was her pit stop to libero at a different program, probably Hawaii. I mean cmon. John Cook kinda f’d her scholarship situation over somewhat late in the game. Where better to go than to their biggest rival to win a championship before heading back home to libero for your home state school? Genius, petty, and would cause me to stan so hard lmao. We know Caffey wasn’t on scholarship, and they call each other sisters since they came together, so it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibilities for me.

Thank you for the work and effort to provide this, uofaGRAD I found this soooo fascinating. Those serving numbers are insane. It’s interesting to see how much they spiked for Eggleston, Skinner, Akana, and Fleck during the tournament. I mean, you could see it during the matches, but this really puts it in stark relief. SKT had a terrible serving match versus Louisville. A 2.56 means she might as well have been serving underhanded. Her serve always looked pretty decent to me. I wonder why it was so inflated during that particular match?
