Hello ! Me and a friend are taking a trip to Austin for the Kansas and Baylor games. Looking for any recommendations on how to plan the trip, hotels, restaurants activities etc. any help would be appreciated!

Remember when you came to this thread accusing "Texas fans" of being cruel to Skylar Fields on Instagram with no basis for that accusation? Remember when you posted that Texas would be the last place that Akana would transfer to? You have to be the dumbest poster on this entire message board. You can pivot in any direction you want, doesn’t make you any less then a steaming pile of dook. Lol and like i did when you quoted me after her commit, if Akana was trying to start at Libero Day 1, Texas was not the place for it, still isn’t so I stand by what you said but I’m an Akana fan so I hope she learns a ton from Larson and Fleck and wins out from Halter next season. The only roaches I’ve seen here are you, photos, Holiday, and a few other bad ones. Say whatever you want but if we were to put positive/negative contributions on this board onto a divine scale, I know my ish isn’t going to sink on the negative side, you on the other hand…. |

Tons of hotel options downtown, but if you're looking for something a bit cheaper/wanting to save money, there are less expensive options closer to the university. But check out Rainey Street for sure! |

The number of times the 6-2 is thrown around on this site fascinates me. as a fan I understand the appeal, but as someone who looks at the numbers I understand why you shy away from it I do know UCLA used a 6-2 and 5-1 within the same season. The year they won the NCAA Title (2011) they used a 6-2 to end the season but went with a 5-1 for the tournament. Are there not other teams that use both systems within the same season? When is the last time a 6-2 won the D1 title? |

But if you're double-subbing against a good opposing team with a decent sideout percentage, you're gonna run out of substitutions if you're also using DS's for hitters. |

Illegal??? Calm down. It was against their rules and they could have kicked me out, but it’s not illegal. I filmed it, it’s my video, so they can’t come after me for copyright. Maybe they could ban me from live games, but that’s about it. If I had charged people to watch it, then that would be different. But it was a free scrimmage people didn’t even get tickets to see. Just take the L and I hope everyone blocks you so they don’t have to read your rants lmao. Yeah, if you didn't do anything wrong you wouldn't have had to hide it in the first place; but, you did. I’m not big on policing other people’s post but weren’t you like the first one to announce they said no filming on the PA system? I think it’s a bit disingenuous to suggest someone did something illegal yet you posted the same thing you also knew was illegal and only blame the person who filmed it. I admit I was there and still asked to see the video against the wishes of the University. Was I wrong? Sure. But I’m not going to throw VBsam under the bus for filming it, I didn’t have to watch it or post it to a public site. |

I love the "idea" of a 2-setter offense, but Texas only ran it once the entire season (2014?). Maybe our personnel was better-suited then than now? Not sure. Selfishly, I want to see both Ewert and Torres set; and, I also want to see a fourth pin hitter get a chance to attack. But, those aren't good reasons. Also, we wouldn't get to see Akana or a second DS play much. In some recent seasons, we've been able to start a set in 2-setter offense and transition into a 1-setter offense late in that set or when running out of subs. Guess we could also start some sets in a 1-setter offense and transition into a 2-setter offense for the sake of playing more players. With so many new players this season, I just hope we find what works best for our personnel early in the season, and stick with it as much as possible. |

I posted it here so more people could see it; how selfish of me. |
