I think if we can bring what we did against Texas last Saturday, then we can make it number six.

I think this one has so many cool story lines with it. Wisconsin has been dominating Nebraska and has a horde of hungry 5th year seniors. Nebraska is one of the queens of December (Stanford being the other) and just seems to know how to pull off national championships. Will Nebraska add to its trophy case? Or will Wisconsin finally put number 1 in theirs?
Analytically speaking, I say Wisconsin. My heart says Nebraska. Whoever wins will have to play the best they have all season.

I swear if Wisconsin loses in the championship on Saturday after the seniors have won like 7 straight vs. the Huskers, I'm gonna lose it. I have already banned myself to watching matches at home by myself in the apartment after a loud double f bomb sentence in the 2019 final while out and my behavior watching the PSU match by myself on tv in the apartment this year. I lost it in both instances. Nothing racist or sexist, but not good behavior nevertheless.

Besides Lexi Sun leaving Texas, the ones to earn playing time usually stick it out. It's the players who get beat out that transfer, so both programs will likely keep all of their best players while the scholarship recruits who don't earn playing time move on elsewhere. Both will still be incredibly potent (especially Nebraska). Even if one, or both, are not around. Both coaches are not getting any younger. Elliott is 53, he could have 15-20 more years in the tank. Cook isn't young at 65 but also could have another 8-10 years left. At least for the next 4-5 years, his roster is insanely stacked. They're going to be loaded for the next 3-4 years and are landing top kids left and right. I doubt he leaves anytime in the next 5 years with the talent he has on board.

You really believe Cook is going to still be coaching in his 70's, even his late 60's. Do you not understand the stress these coaches are under, and how many hours they put in. All of this is Ok when your young, but when a person gets into their mid-60's and beyond, it really starts to take a toll health wise. At any time now, I am expecting Russ Rose to announce his retirement.

I swear if Wisconsin loses in the championship on Saturday after the seniors have won like 7 straight vs. the Huskers, I'm gonna lose it. With the way the Badger football season had gone this year, I was sure that if there was something bad that was going to happen, it would have been a fluke loss to Minnesota at home in the Elite 8. THAT would have been unbearable. Losing to Nebraska in the championship would be painful, but I could live with that, if it was a competitive game like we had against Louisville. Losing to the Huskers like we lost to Stanford would not be so fun.

Wisconsin better not screw this up... They have to many veteran players to do that. One of the most, if not the most, veteran team(s) in the NCAA Tournament.

gotta give it up to Nebraska, playing great in the tourney as the #10 seed! Took down #2 and #3 and a chance for #4 Nebraska's run will come to an end, in a BIG WAY, against Wisconsin. The match will not even be close. Wisconsin will take the Title in trash down of Nebraska. i say this as a bows fan and as someone that posted on the hawaii thread how im cheering for wisconsin to take it all, i now hope nebraska wins just to shut you up.

I think he can pull a Dunning if he wins. He wants to leave the program in a good place and not have whoever takes over have to do a total rebuild job. Especially if he wants Hildebrand to take over for him--Tyler is going to be a hot commodity and won't wait forever for Cook to retire...

speaking of penn state, i'm extremely surprised not to have identified many penn st fans in this forum. i get that the team is down the last few years, but with its glorious history, i expected more lion fans.
