Splashy hire doesn't necessarily mean it's a good hire. I wasn’t advocating for a splashy hire. Word on the street is that one is gonna be a splashy hire, we'll see if she works out to be a good hire since her body of work is limited. But that's what we have awards for. |

But that's what we have awards for. Eckerman got a shot at this? Kind of fits the splashy but limited experience. With two assistant slots open I could see him going with her and then an experienced top assistant. |

It was just posted in another thread that IU is losing its 2nd assistant coach - this one to Penn State. Vansant to Illinois, Gwitt to Penn State, Aird to...? I mean both are going to bigger programs so I’m not really sure if we should draw any conclusions from it about Aird or the status of his program, just taking the next step in their careers…Gwitt’s also a Penn State alum so this must mean a lot for him if it’s true Well I guess in light of newly admitted evidence, I must retract what I said here…..I just wonder how he moves on from this, highly doubt any good coaches will join his staff with this going on and there’s obviously the recruiting that will be hit by it |
