Donor guide for 2022, with a bit of information about points. If it doesn’t link to it correctly, go to page 12. issuu.com/uwathletics/docs/2022donorguide/12?ffI was wrong about the level I’m in. It went down in 2021, but 2022 had jumped up to numbers bigger than prior to the pandemic. No wonder we’re still in the bottom 5% of our level. LOL

What stores? Called Barnes and Noble. Nothing.. Also University Book Store doesn't have either. Bucky's Locker Room is a store. One outlet at the main gate of Camp Randall, and a second one just inside the main door at the Kohl Center. Both are open during regular hours, even when there's no game, etc. They're also 'related' somehow to "Name of the Game" stores at West Towne, etc. This is totally not confusing at all… but the website for the brick & mortar stores outside Camp Randall, inside the KC, etc… is uwshop.com, while they might call those physical locations by the name Bucky’s Locker Room. Buckyslockerroom.com is the official ONLINE store, but it’s run by/thru Fanatics Inc. You can’t place any order here and expect to pick it up at the Camp Randall store. Anyone else need some semi-useless information? I got more where this came from.

Anyone else need some semi-useless information? I got more where this came from. I am 100% certain the physical stores in the stadium and the Kohl Center are called "Bucky's Locker Room". The two even have separate FaceBook pages which list the physical addresses, etc. And the Camp Randall store has a 'patio' out to the field, where kids from UW Children's Hospital sit during football games, and get acknowledged during the games, during which they refer to it as the Bucky's Locker Room Patio. (come to think of it, that might mean the very small VB souvenir store in the Field House might also be referred to as a Bucky's Locker Room.) One year - 2019, I'm pretty sure - I was in the Camp Randall store looking to get a women's hockey championship sweatshirt, but they were out of my size. So the guy checked their computer and said that the "Name of the Game" at West Towne had one. I kind of looked at him funny and said " You and they are the same store?, and he didn't exactly say yes, he kind of talked around it IIRC, but pretty clearly they shared a computer inventory, etc. So add that into the Fanatics part of it all ----------------- Yup, this page refers to the store inside the Field House as a Bucky's Locker Room. uwbadgers.com/sports/2015/8/21/GEN_2014010133.aspx

Just a FYI that our very own Barnsie will be conducting a volleyball camp at the end of July. www.otbasketball.com/laurenbarnesvolleyballcampOne of my favorite volleyball stats is that Barnes has only lost ONE match in her entire career vs. Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. 12-0 vs Minn and Nebraska 2019-21 4-0 vs Wisconsin 2017-2018 2-1 vs Nebraska 2017-2018 That's 18-1 .....ELITE

One more on Punzel's book and Bucky's Locker Room:
Jon Arias posted a tweet yesterday afternoon that he had "just picked up my copy" of the book, and the photo is in that small parking lot outside the Field House at the south end of Camp Randall; that is to say, just outside the Camp Randall "Bucky's Locker Room"

I think I understand the difference now. uwshop.com/wisconsin-badgers-uwshop-store-locationsuwshop.com, Name of the Game, and Insignia (on State Street) are all connected, and what ties them together is Under Armour. What you find in the physical locations matches up with what’s found on uwshop.com. If it’s even possible to place an online order for pickup order at a physical Bucky’s Locker Room location, it will be via uwshop.com. Fanatics branded apparel might not be found anywhere but Buckyslockerroom.com, and UA gear probably won’t be found at this website. I would be willing to bet my VB season tickets that after signing on with Under Armour, that they required the physical locations to only sell UA gear, and a different website exclusive to UA apparel. Fanatics might have already owned the buckyslockerroom.con domain? Not willing to bet that much on that though.

So I had a business pal of mine who works at Epic pick me up a copy and proceeded to binge read the book this morning Coach offers some particularly interesting nuggets on Orzol and Hammil. Pretty clear from reading book that Sydney Hilley is his most important recruit and probably always will be. Mindfulness discussed in greater detail more than I would have imagined, pointing towards its importance to the program. Discussed the coaching individuals Kelly seeks for coaching advice. Unless I missed something, Punzel forgot to include Jardine on the list of 2021 recruits along with Orzol and Smrek. Makes a continuity issue occur when Coach discusses Jardine at a later point in book. Section about Albany was particularly interesting. Discussed in fine detail the culture both arrived to and left at. Book discusses a few other programs Coach Sheffield could have easily went to in the years leading up to coming to Wisconsin. Over everything, Point Wisconsin shows the lasting bonds that Coach Sheffield has created with players and coaches throughout his career.

Will be really interesting to see how the team adapts to Hilley leaving. That said, there was a time when we questioned her ability to lead the team through troubles, to impart resilience to the squad when under the thumb. The badgers seemed brittle at times. During the first two years it was clear that she was going to have to be the one to step up in that regard. There was no one else who fit the profile.
As late as the beginning of 2019, it wasn't clear to me looking from the outside that she was going to succeed in that role. Then something clicked between that last loss to Washington and the second set v PSU. We've heard about the discussions between the coaching staff and the players, and between Hilley and her team mates, and how they used that information to change the way the team was communicating and planning. That's leadership - the ability to be accountable and adapt.
That's they kind of thing I watch sports for. Who among the current squad will make that same journey. It will be interesting to see.

Great point about that important crosssroads our team encountered early in 2019. Had somehow forgotten about that. Tremendous leadership altering her interactions with fellow teammates on court with the greater purpose of team cohesion. Regarding this season I think Danielle Hart would slide in and provide some stabilizing leadership.

The Badgers lost the first set close, and after the Marquette loss and the Washington loss, I'm sitting there thinking "here we go again". They win the second set close... and then something happened, and I can't begin to explain what. Had Penn State EVER lost two sets in a row scoring as few as 13 points? To this day, I'm just astounded by it.

Then they went on a 7-1 run started by Hilley's serving, and that was it.
