Honest question: What do you want with your axe-grinding? Your daughter stayed for her COVID year and has moved on. Flory has moved on. What’s your desired outcome now? No axe grinding, just able to speak more freely with no repercussions any longer. You have no clue about the past program and what/how some of these girls were treated. And I’m not the only parent that felt this way. I want nothing but success for these girls and decisions that have been made thus far are not good in my opinion. But don’t take my word for it…just follow the bouncing ball and do your due diligence. I pray I’m proven wrong! Kids wouldn't be problems for coaches if they didn't have parents like you.

Updates keep coming in, and the OP continues to be updated.
And BTW, the personal insults of other posters are really not welcome in this thread.

You’re an idiot! Tell me what I’ve said that’s made me some “helicopter parent”. I’ll prove you wrong on every front!!

Rumor is TAMU hosting Hawaii, Pittsburgh and San Diego for a tourney I don’t think I’ve ever seen a program schedule a tournament where they’re going to lose every game they host. Impressive field, though.

LSU schedule > Alabama schedule, by a lot.
Bama looks to have a pretty favorable conference slate, as well.

Tanya Johnson put together a decent non-con for her first year.

Don't new coaches typically inherit most of their non-con schedules the first year? Not trying to diss Coach Johnson at all - but I thought a lot of scheduling happened pretty far in advance.

Not for volleyball. In fact, football is really the only sport where the opponents are scheduled pretty far in advance. Even men’s basketball the lion’s share of the non conference is put together in the off-season. It doesn’t mean certain opponents aren’t locked in, but mostly it’s a year to year thing.

LSU's preseason looks fairly similar to last year's. Rough conference schedule this year. Hope they can gel and get some upsets.

I think they probably do inherit some of it as schools commit to multiple year schedules (e.g. LSU, IA State, Penn State), but I’m sure Coach Johnson has a few matches on the schedule she negotiated as well. As a side note, LSU will be also charging for admission to matches this year.

I think in a lot of sports, including volleyball, there's often a home and home thing, at least with the big programs. But I agree with you in general.
