Don't new coaches typically inherit most of their non-con schedules the first year? Not trying to diss Coach Johnson at all - but I thought a lot of scheduling happened pretty far in advance. Yes, this is pretty much their preseason from last year, just locations reversed.

I think they probably do inherit some of it as schools commit to multiple year schedules (e.g. LSU, IA State, Penn State), but I’m sure Coach Johnson has a few matches on the schedule she negotiated as well. As a side note, LSU will be also charging for admission to matches this year. Was very surprised to see them charging for tickets…we couldn’t get people to come when it was free!😂😂 But winning solves all problems so hoping for success for this group!

Probably why they decided to charge for admission. 😀 They might as well collect for the people that do show up and it’s cheap so I doubt it really impacts admissions negatively. They need to start winning more though, facts.

They need to start winning more though, facts. Nearly always market forces prevail, where the lower the price, the higher the demand a product. But there is a psychological component in the difference between an event being free and charging a minimal amount. Being free sends out the signal it’s not worth going to anyway. There’s no scarcity. It’s not even valued by the organizers. Charging for an event creates a sense of investment in the buyers. It sends the psychological signal that the event is worth paying for, therefore generating a better response. A side effect is you send the signal to the people inside the program that they’re involved in a product that’s worth paying for. As everyone is stating, winning is the biggest factor, but there are some counterintuitive forces at play that can actually increase attendance by charging for it that tend to not be there from raising prices beyond the initial minimal amount.

Kennedy Muckelroy Is no longer on Alabama's roster. Was she injured or role diminished last year? She seemed to be more prominent the prior year.

Updated the OP to reflect Davis's retirement. I think I have the TAMU comings and goings up to date, but let me know if I missed something/someone coming in or out!
