What is crazy, and people may think I may be crazy also. But by the time their playing career is over as a Wahine, I believe Tiffany Westerberg could end up being a better Middle then Amber Igiede. Why do I say this, one reason, Tiffany Westerberg has more upside then Amber Igiede does. Robyn just needs to keep Tiffany Westerberg as a Middle. The Wahine will have 2 beast mode Middles next year. Robyn's only job will be to select a Setter who can set both of them on a consistent basis.
I can see the Wahine being a Top 25, if not a Top 10 team next year, if and only if, Stella signs her NLI with the Wahine. That will allow Robyn to move Caylen Alexander to Opposite. Then having Amber Igiede and Tiffany Westerberg, in the Middle. Throw in the supporting cast who are all returning next year, with this year's experience under their belt. The receiving and passing should be solid. Robyn just needs to select between Lang, or Matias, who will be the Setter. Whichever one is consistent with their sets. Things cannot look any brighter, for Robyn, staff, and the Wahine.

The content that the UH vball Instagram page has been putting out is great publicity for the program. Especially when Hawaii got featured on the NCAA page. Their followers were at less than 12K couple weeks ago and now they’re at +20,000 to be honest, it looks like they have lots of fake followers

Has Riley Wagoner finally turned the corner and is now showing us why she was selected Ohio Gatorade Player of the Year. The next few will be very telling in that regard. Hopefully, she has and can show everyone what kind of volleyball player Riley Wagoner truly is and what earned her that reward.

Hopefully, she has and can show everyone what kind of volleyball player Riley Wagoner truly is and what earned her that reward. I think Wagoner will mostly do fine in the Big West. We'll have to see how she does against the upper tier Big West teams like LBSU, Cal Poly, and UCSB. LBSU is pretty solid all-around, and although Cal Poly and UCSB has looked rough, their blocking is what has kept them in a lot of their matches (at least from the matches I've watched).

You want real followers sharing your stories, posts etc for more relevant reach

The one area where I don’t quite know Tiffany’s potential is her blocking. Amber is light years ahead of Tiffany in that department. Tiffany is much better when she swing blocks, which is why she’s having more success in the middle because she almost has to swing block if she wants to get to the outside quick enough. She doesn’t have the strongest shoulders nor the best timing on the block when she just stands and pikes, so the swing block really helps her press her hands over the net and not get tooled as easily. If you watch a lot of other good blocking teams, the middles and pins always swing block no matter how far they have to travel because it really allows the blocker to get as high as possible which makes it easier to press over. I can speak from experience that I’ve been way more successful swing blocking than just standing and jumping.

Thank you! Even if it’s just Stella, that looks like a good pick up. After seeing Alexander, I’ll start withholding judgment until I see them actually take the floor. I did not expect Alexander to be so good! Yea these “undersized” athletes are good gets if they are hard workers, coachable, and athletic/mobile. I think Alexander is an especially bright spot because she surprised EVERYONE on this board with how much she has contributed this year, especially with less than spectacular club film we all watched. You can tell Alexander had great training in club too. She seems to execute her skills better than most of her peers on the current Hawaii team. Same goes for Lang. I want to see what happens after Alexander gets more experience.

I think going after players like we have been so far that might not be the highest ranked recruit on their team but will be used to playing at a high level, surrounded by other athletes that do as well. Wish she could convince Singletary to come to the islands lol

I think it’ll be good for Hawaii to find players that come from prominent clubs whose training is geared towards getting their athletes ready to compete at the higher D1 level. When I rewatched the USC matches, some of Alexander’s attacks in system as powerful and they go downwards. She’s also good at managing her offense with her OOS swings. Her serve and technique is generally good and her passing and defense isn’t far behind. She’s made me eat my words and then some 😂 great get by Hawaii’s staff

That’s…an opinion… ”could” was used intentionally lol. But I mainly said that because I think Tiffany looks more fluid attacking than Amber. But Amber is much more explosive and hits harder
