lol cuz Freshman Riley’s Serve Receive was what kept Ross off the court her senior year. Until Jolie got hurt and we all saw that Ross was a way better offensive option than Wagoner Also, didn't Ross have some sort of illness to begin the season which is why she didn't play for most of the pre conference matches?

I questioned the lack of a libero since Riley wasn't much of an offensive option both in the front and the back. It's like she was just there to justify the 4-OH, no-libero lineup.

In my mind, what I was thinking was the staff wasn’t confident in Okino at that point but didn’t want have Riley suit up as a Libero since they had recruited her saying she would be able to hit.

True, true. But I didn't think Riley was a better passer/defender than Okino by any means (at least by the time Okino was being used regularly).

Spectrum needs to up their game with the volleyball reruns that they show throughout the day on channel 1012. It’s always men volleyball and it’s not even the good games, it’s all the pre-conference games and nothing in conference. Like they can be playing some women volleyball too. But I’ll understand if they can’t if it’s some issue with not having the rights for it or something, but I wish they would show other games.

Since Wahine volleyball got moved to OC 16(the high school channel) they have not shown one replay on OC 12. Both channels maybe under the Spectrum name but are separate entities and probably prohibit crossovers.
Kind of whack since all the other UH sports is on OC 12 and only Wahine volleyball is on OC 16. I would think UH would command more advertising $ putting it on a channel(OC !2)where there will be more eyes(Spectrum and Hawaiian Telcom)but apparently the people in the organization think otherwise.
Kind of insulting to put women vball on a HS channel while the other UH sports get to play in front of a larger TV audience.

I ‘m not sure how many would change carrier only to watch volleyball matches. Also other UH sports get plenty of publicity and attention being on the “main” Spectrum channel while UH women volleyball get relegated to sharing the spotlight with HS sports. I think the women team deserve better. Why can’t they be on the main Spectrum channel as the other major sports like football, basketball, and men’s volleyball?

It's been like that ever since I could remember. But it is on the ondemand channel 1014. You can watch replays of the matches. As of yesterday they had the match vs TexasState, UCLA (not sure which match), WV & USC (not sure which match).

you can go on the spectrum website and watch UH sports if you’re a hawaiiantel member. there’s an arrangement that allows them to watch sports but only thru the website.
