Love love LOVE those videos for the all-conference honorees. It would be cool if they had one for Robyn because she is giving action on that side line lol her reactions are always my fave Omgosh that first one has been my favorite since that UCI match! It was a quick play near the net and Amber received a very unexpected but hittable ball and she just pushed it over instead of bouncing it. I remember seeing that and laughing so hard. Robyn even gets her body into rhythm like she was apart of the play.

My favorite Ah Mow moment was from the second Cal Poly match. It was on a play where a overpass went in Lang’s direction. Instead of Lang swinging hard on the ball, so rolled/hit it into the open backcourt. Ah Mow reacted like the roll shot wasn’t going to work, but it was the right move by Lang and got her the point.

Shout out as well to the players who didn't get recognized.
Akana has been a legitimate threat since returning from her illness/benching. Not seeing the court has certainly lit a fire in her and she's been unstoppable at times. She's one of those players that Shoji would say "just takes an honest swing every time."
Ham has been super consistent all season. She doesn't have a ton of aces but seems to go on serving runs every match. Her passing needs work, but she's been really good defensively and she's come up big in the few moments she's been asked to hit.
Ikenaga stabilizes the back row. Her dig numbers aren't eye-popping, but her absence during her injury was felt, and her return to the court has been instrumental in UH winning.
Tiff works her butt off. She's shown the ability to be an efficient hitter and while she hasn't recorded a ton of kill blocks, she touches a lot of attacks that helps the back row defenders.
Edmonds has been a real help defensively. Super fun to watch with her flashy digs, and while she may be inconsistent with her passing at times, she stepped up in Ikenaga's absence and was a pleasant surprise with her passing and defense.
Byrd has always been ready when called upon and has had key plays in crucial moments.

Big West 2022 postseason honors pour in for Hawaii women's volleyball teamBy Brian McInnis Dec. 01, 2022, Spectrum News Hawaii middle Amber Igiede became the third straight Rainbow Wahine volleyball player to receive Big West Player of the Year recognition on Wednesday. (Spectrum News/Brian McInnis) Excerpt: HONOLULU — Hawaii ran away with the 2022 Big West women’s volleyball championship. It stood to reason that the Rainbow Wahine would do the same with the conference’s postseason awards. UH’s haul was indeed extensive when the BWC pulled back the curtain on Wednesday. The Wahine received four of the five major awards this season: Middle Amber Igiede was named Big West Player of the Year; Robyn Ah Mow was the Big West Coach of the Year; Kate Lang was the Setter of the Year; and Caylen Alexander was the Freshman of the Year. Igiede, Lang and hitter Riley Wagoner made the All-BWC first team, while Alexander got a second-team nod. Of the major awards, only Libero of the Year went elsewhere, to UC Santa Barbara’s Macall Peed. “It really shows that all the hard work we’ve been putting in this season is being recognized,” Lang told Spectrum News in a phone interview Wednesday night. “You win awards because you put in work since two-a-days. So did everybody else in the conference, but we’ve got some shining stars on the team and Amber, Caylen and Riley are just wonderful teammates to have. They really deserve it.” UH (22-6) is gearing up for its NCAA first-round matchup with LSU (15-13) at Stanford’s Maples Pavilion at 2:30 p.m. Hawaii time on Friday. Temperatures were in the 40s when UH arrived in San Francisco. Things have only marginally warmed up since said Lang, who was concerned about a lack of warm footwear. Nevertheless, “It was good vibes in practice and it’s been good vibes all week,” she said. Igiede, the fourth-year junior from Baton Rouge, La., ranks No. 4 nationally with a .439 hitting percentage and leads UH with 4.90 points, 3.79 kills and 1.30 blocks per set. She is the third straight Big West Player of the Year for UH, after Norene Iosia in 2019 and Brooke Van Sickle in 2021. Ah Mow, the former Olympic setter, won the conference’s coaching honor in each of UH’s three straight Big West championship seasons. She guided the team through a rough start that included an 0-3 showing at the season-opening Texas A&M Invitational. RAM always been animated on the sidelines even when she coached club ball. That means she is super passionate and wishes she was in the game herself. Lol

RAM talking about how much Amber means to the team 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 Amber does mean a lot to the team. Are you thinking that Robyn sounds sad talking about Amber? Like this is her last season with her? Amber's game has grown tremendously at Hawai'i. Hawai'i has a habit of taking raw skill and molding players into great volleyball players- look at Mags recently. Amber has one more year of eligibility and there's no guarantee that any of our covid juniors will return next season but if any of them were leaving, I would think that they would have announced so they could be celebrated by the program at Senior night, Amber especially. I find it hard to believe any of our Covid Juniors would walk away from that experience.
