It is around a month away from the start of double days. Cannot wait to attend some practices and watch Tyler and Co and all the program's new players in the gym. Probably the funnest month for me as I try and predict the starters, preseason records and of course how the team will preform in conference. A new era for the program and hopefully it is the start of great things. Go Beach!

Beach released their roster today and it’s very large with 10 walk-ons. A lot of players will be trying to move up the depth chart. http://instagr.am/p/Cf7crs9vsxU

LBSU is going to be fun to watch and will become the dominant team in Socal once players stop signing with USC and UCLA once their travel nightmares come to fruition

I thought #2 (Danielle Scott) and #14 (Tara Cross) were retired? Wonder why they honored #5 and #7 jersey's still being retired but not Scott-Arruda or Cross-Battle. Disrespectful. Unless permission was given.

I thought #2 (Danielle Scott) and #14 (Tara Cross) were retired? wondering if this was an 'oops' on SID trying to get a roster out this early via social media. the WVB site roster doesn't have all these roster numbers listed yet, and they haven't even started practice officially. Somebody hit the 'send' button a little quick perhaps a Jim Healy type moment...."who goofed, I've got to know...."

Is this the same Jim Healy who's headstone in Hollywood Hills Forest Lawn reads: "Jim Healy, 1923 - 1994. Is this true?"

Both Tyler and CJ are helping to coach USA National Team Development Program in Tulsa right now. Hopefully coaching at this event can help build some relationships with the players in this program.

Looks like the roster inflation came to an end. 21 on the roster for '22, down from 22 for '21. There were 19 in '20; 18 in '19; 16 in '18.

Now that the complete roster is out we can finally see who returned and who is coming in. The new coach has brought in 7 transfers with 6 being on scholarship and two freshman walk ons. The program returns 6 scholarship players and 6 walk ons, with 3 of them returning as starters. All in all, LBSU has a completely new staff and a heavy revamped roster.
When looking at the roster you can easily concluded that with two middle positions available and only two scholarship middles on the roster how these positions will be filled. I also believe that with one Libero on the roster and only two scholarship setters that these two positions are not up for grabs. This would mean that Callie Schwarzenbach (Nebraska transfer) and Kameron Bacon (returning starter) will be the middle starters and Zayna Meyers (BYU transfer) will be the starting setter but Tia Chavira (returning starter) may also be in the mix since the coach ran a 6-2 for most of the spring matches. The one listed libero is Nicole Hoff (returning starter) so I have her penciled in.
This leaves the three pin positions that have 3 scholarship returning players and 4 scholarship transfers all shooting to be starters:
Katie Kennedy (returning junior starter Big West 1st Team) Jaylen Jordan (returning redshirt freshman injured last season) Starr Williams (returning redshirt freshman top 40 recruit coming out of high school) Morgan Chacon (Florida State junior transfer AVCA All Region and ACC Second Team) Victoria Sullivan (San Diego State senior transfer MWC 1st Team and SDSU's leader in kills) Jayden Nembhard (Kansas State junior transfer and All Big 12 freshman team and part time starter as sophomore) Natalie Glenn (Minnesota sophomore transfer limited action as freshman FAB 50 high school recruit)
I expect Morgan Chacon to be one starter since she is a very good in the back row, hits the pipe, and the team needs a 6 rotation player in the line up. Outside of this one position, really can not speculate who will fill the remaining 2 positions because there are so many good players in the mix. This will make double days super fun to watch.
