Kim Hill has been hired as the assistant coach. Nick MacRae is no longer the assistant for the WVB team. Just men.

Predicting the two starting middles is pretty easy since there are only two scholarship middles. Returning sophomore Bacon should hold down one along with Nebraska transfer Schwartzenbach. This tandem should be able to put up a formidable block and provide enough offense to keep the other side honest. You may be correct, but I thought that they have a Middle, Rhiann Sheffie (2022), coming in from Marymount HS, Mizuno LB.

It would be great for SoCal to have the Beach in form. I was actually a lecturer there for one year. Best of luck to the program and players. I love it when the Beach is good, they have a great venue to watch the games.

Can we just start the season now! Super excited with the new coaches and all the new players coming in. Cannot wait until the start of double days so we can see the coaches and players coming together and taking this program back to the top. Expectations are high so hopefully the program can keep building on the momentum and fast track some success.

Beach with only 8 non-conf matches, against 7 teams
while Bakersfield for example playing 12 non-conf matches
confounding that the Beach was not able to schedule a couple more non-conf matches, the most sparse sporadic non-conf schedule I've ever seen.
Last year's Massey Rating of Beach opponents:
Oregon State: 145 Portland State: 109 Oregon: 23 Boise: (H) 65 Notre Dame: (H) 36 Nebraska: 5 LMU: 78 LMU: (H) 78
Oregon State only one with a bad losing record, & Notre Dame a losing record, so would appear to be a solid RPI Schedule, just another home match please

Bakersfield is able to exploit that by playing two matches in one day four times.

I was expecting Long Beach to play a game or two against USC, UCLA, San Diego or Pepperdine.
