The Jenny Craig Pavilion strikes again. Well, it’s a scrimmage. It’s not the same as a regular season or NCAA tournament match. And they’re really good this year. They have a chance to be one of the best USD teams ever. I don’t think it’s all a Jenny Craig weight loss this time. |

Sounds like USD played the planned lineup the first few sets…easily won. Then mixed it up the last set or two so everyone could play. Team was strong on all fronts - setting is amazing which increases opportunities for all hitters to shine. Blackwell and Edwards looked great. Passing was reported to be much better than last year. As expected, Allen is playing DS and the freshman looks like she’s going to get a lot of playing time as well. Here’s the projected lineup based on the first few sets:
S Blossom
MB Blackwell
MB Goddard/ Stoner
OH Edwards/ DS Allen
OH Lukes
RS Frohling/ DS Bennett
L Benbow

I would worry for San Diego if they were not ahead after two weeks of practice with all they return plus their grad transfer setter. |

I just don't believe in reading too much into really any exhibition (this applies to every sport). The real matches start next week. |
