True, but players with NT aspirations still have to consider their choices or get a new agency. her agency made her sign a contract to be exclusive with them for three years. part of the problem may be education... or feel pressured to sign with them (I have heard complaints about this about this agency) maybe she's fine with it, I dont know. just my observations. Yeah…I forgot about how a lot of agencies (especially smaller ones) make new players sign for three years. She can still hold out a bit and ask for specific teams and leagues. If she makes them work, they may agree to let her go to another agency. It takes a lot to be proactive with some agencies and players feel pressured to take whatever they offer. Sad for her. 🥲

I guess next season (2022/2023) will give us an idea of what her intentions are and if her agency was holding her back, since this is her 3rd year professionally.

Disagree. Just because Ali's last three seasons weren't nearly comparable to her freshman season doesn't mean they were "so bad". But either way, I always really liked Frantti and Lee and I hope to see both of them in the national team gym soon. Not only did she look like a better version of her player-self, she looked happier/freer. Difference, even after so many years not seeing her, was striking.

Who do u all think are the likely starting OHs this summer? idk about starters... but i think the grouping will be KRob, Plummer, MBH.. and a battle between Courtney/SWP for the 4th spot. If MBH's offense stays weak... I think SWP will join the core group.

Is it just because USA team needs that heavy hitter role fulfilled and Plummer fits that identity better?

SWP was years ahead of Plummer in her development...worth mentioning that. a full pro season in Italy training/playing with and against the best players in the world will help. Plummer's performance in Italy has been really good, whereas I think SWP has been up-and-down a bit in Japan if I'm interpreting what I'm reading correctly (lol) I think it'll probably come down to passing.

Has SWP been allowed to play 6 rotations in Japan? I only have watched one of her matches and don’t wanna assume off it. A passing battle certainly makes sense, but wouldn’t that also mean Courtney is in the race with both SWP and Plummer? How has she been passing this season, I know she did really well at passing while with Scandicci

She's playing in a quick offense in italy against top competition... SWP isn't. We've seen over the past year how much the staff values that and really italy in general. (Karch said Poulter's performance there was one of the big reasons she was his #1)

Anyone have details on how KRob is doing in Japan? I read that her team has yet to win a game this season—how can a team with someone of her caliber unable to win a single game in Japan? Are her teammates not very strong or is it her own performance?

Did they give her a ton of money? She could play in any league she wanted to

She could play in any league she wanted to I think it was the money. Not many European clubs could afford her, thought I think her style fits much better the EuroVolley system.
