Tentative NORCECA dates: Pan American Cup - Mexico - Aug 19-29, 2022 I really wish they would flip the Men's and Women's Pan Am Cup schedules and host the women's tournament as the earlier tournament - men's as the later tournament. It would make no difference to the men's side of the game professionally, but the women's side would give USA a chance to actually get some current NCAA athletes to participate. (For reference, the tentative men's Pan Am Cup dates are set for Aug 6-14 in Canada, which would mean current NCAA athletes would only have to miss a handful of pre-season training days to participate. Men's NCAA season doesn't start until after Christmas.) It used to be in July.... even June sometimes. Weird they've pushed it so late.... but I would almost bet a large sum of money on it that the DR wants to use it as a WCH warm up.... *cough Cristobal cough*

But now with VNL starting so early and ending so late, there's little time for NORCECA events to fit in the schedule to avoid conflicts with the Majors. it'd be fine if the DR didnt insist on sending senior-A teams to every event. but DR gets their say in everything so at least it'll be a good tournament for the '21/recent grads. (unless they use it for WCH prep)

What happened to Tori Dixon? Is she done with the NT? I'm pretty sure she's retired from it after not making the OG roster, but I could be wrong.

what are the changes to the VNL roster comp in terms of numbers again? is there room for any younger players to make some noise and get some playing time?

I wouldnt be surprised if they send a young roster to the Philippines. Depending on who China sends, that might be the weakest week

The only relevant NORCECA event to the Women's NT this year should be the Pan-Am Cup.
It's scheduled ~ 1 month before the World Championships and will be in Mexico. Will be interesting to see if Canada and USA will send their A-team to that event (USA almost always does not). We know Dominican Republic sends their A-Team to pretty much every event except when rest is necessary or there is some other obligation contradiction.

I'd be surprised if Canada didn't... a little bit of ranking point potential before it gets dragged at the WCH
