The only relevant NORCECA event to the Women's NT this year should be the Pan-Am Cup. It's scheduled ~ 1 month before the World Championships and will be in Mexico. Will be interesting to see if Canada and USA will send their A-team to that event (USA almost always does not). We know Dominican Republic sends their A-Team to pretty much every event except when rest is necessary or there is some other obligation contradiction. I'd be surprised if Canada didn't... a little bit of ranking point potential before it gets dragged at the WCH Don't forget that Winzer will be making these decisions! lol

Interesting to note that 13 of the 17 pictured/rostered players in avid’s original post hail from big ten schools… If I were a top high school recruit hoping to successfully maneuver the USAV pipeline to a national team spot, I would most definitely take notice to that when considering my college choices.

Hentz>Clark
I also believe Lanier deserves an invite. I would like to see USA continue to invest in Leah Edmond as well. She can be great with the right training. I know it's a tall task, but I wish Simone Lee would get another chance. Loved watching her play

I thought Foluke and Jordan Larson were retiring? I kept them because im not convinced. I think they do one last hoorah at the WCHs I'd be surprised if WCH is a goal for Larson. Been there, done that. Olympic gold is pretty much the pinnacle. Unless she wants to stick around to ease the transition to the new crop, but Team USA has enough veteran OH that can play that role. I do hope Larson continues to play professionally as long as she enjoys it.

Loved watching her play In college, Hentz was definitely greater than Clark but I have no idea what Morgan's training is like since she isn't playing professionally. Idk what her aspirations are. Clark is training and developing in Germany, who knows where she'll be when she comes back. But honestly it's mostly just who's going to be the B team libero/backup to Justine. Leah needs to go pro lol but I'm not sure if she wants to. Simone is doing decently in Germany I think? Maybe she'll get another chance.

Why is the greatest NCAA player not on this list? You know the first 5 time first team All American and reigning Player of the Year? What are her plans anyway? Did she sign?

Did she sign? she’s probably not on the list because she’s not yet on the national team. She’ll likely be at some point, but she chose to stay in college (and get that fifth AA honor) before going off to play professionally and join the national team, if offered, which she likely will. Patience is... a virtue.

I suspect that the Jordan and KRob weddings signaled the beginning of Family time.
