practicing isnt the same thing as actual matches. Serbia and Italy would know, from their olympic experiences last year. "lolll" ah yes let the cev bashing begin muahahahahhaahahahaha
2024 is gonna be USA China Brazil
China needs more depth … and to straighten out the libero situation

usa opps are gonna get it together. That entire position had one player give one good performance in one match (vs. China in Tokyo) and that was it. Pls did u not watch any other USA match from the Olympics, Ms. Annie ate up Serbia and Brazil

lolllll you really wanna come for Serbia and Italy ? 😭 ? You said practices = matches. I said they werent. nowhere did I say that exactly however, like the usa fans were saying all VNL how their second or even third teams could win the whole thing practice in the usa gym should be good comp but maybe it wasn’t as strong as we thought lol

You can play against the best players every day but its not something new and the environment (compared to matches) is not the same.

Usa could def make it work if they wanted to but like bin caí bin said usa outsides aren’t bad enough to really make it make sense I really don’t think USA could make it work if they wanted to. Especially not immediately. That would require throwing everything out the window the team has developed since 2012, maybe even going back to 2010. Plus SWP exists. No reason to go to a 2-person serve receive

At the very least, they’d at least be very competitive with Serbia, Brazil and Turkey. Now, I think SWP and KRob should be our first string, so a Bajema/Frantti passing duo would like have more issues against those teams though.

No reason to go to a 2-person serve receive I just meant that Kelsey and JWO could probably make a 2 person receive unit work I don’t think their passing would be good enough to enable our setters to consistently set the middles or give our Opposites a fast enough set (especially Drews). KRob also would likely almost never be an offensive option.

I just meant that Kelsey and JWO could probably make a 2 person receive unit work Not a chance. well R.I.P. guess Usa has to figure out that before world championships. Serbia and Italy look to be in great form. I’m just glad they aren’t as unstoppable as they looked mid VNL. I was worried that usa would just steamroll everyone

On the real, Kathryn Plummer alone has become the new Carlini vs. Hancock. The Egonu vs. Bošković. She comes up in every pro/international discussion even if the topic has nothing to do with her 🤦🏾♂️ I’m not sure KP will ever reach Carlini v. Hancock. I think there are only two “conversations” on this site that have almost set the forum on fire: Carlini v. Hancock and Tom/Hooker v. Karch Honorable mentions: USA fast, Kelly Murphy, Lloyd and Gibby, CT in Rio. I think KP has a ways to go before she’s even HM level.
