I would guess she's getting Fisher/DBK money, at least. ND can certainly afford it. It would not surprise me if she's top 10 nationwide. You don't get Cook money without a fanbase that pays the bills, but I'll bet she is solidly in the next group after that.

I have read the posts and the conjecture of presumption of high salary: but ND has been suspiciously on the low side in the ACC salary surveys. So besides VT conjecture i was asking for real numbers?? I don't remember the numbers, but at the time it was reported that ND ponied up to get McLaughlin away from Washington. They certainly paid Muffet well. Muffet had national championship and FF appearances. The money π° follows. I loved Muffit. Generally not an ND fan, but women's BB, absolutely. Could say the same now for Vb.

If Pitt can pay a vb coach 400k+, ND sure as hell can.

I'm not saying she's making quite that much, but Notre Dame can easily afford it if need be.

Penn State fans: I've read from some on VT that the PSU athletic director is a lame duck...if that's correct, would role would that uncertainty have played in Rockwell not going to Happy Valley (if she was offered)? Not knowing who your boss is going to be is a red flag...

Not knowing who your boss is going to be is a red flag... Unless Rockwell was not there top choice. What if fisher has been who they have wanted all along. They had set her up before to take over and she bailed on them. Who says they wanted her back. We donβt know

Every appointed position reporting to a president in a University is a lame duck.

Every appointed position reporting to a president in a University is a lame duck. Technically, yes. But in reality...a wildly successful, well-entrenched athletic director is going to stay as long as they like in nearly every case.

Congrats, Salima. I've always though of Notre Dame as a magical place and you as a magical person. Looks like together you'll have no choice but to make magic. Good luck!
