Those transfers from ND in the portal must be punching the air right now. it’s the new recruits that asked to be released from their nli’s that are probably the most regretful?? That’s a missed opportunity for sure. That's an easy fix, unless they signed new NIL's elsewhere. |

isn't niego still undecided? she can return right? Honestly, even if somebody announces a transfer, it seems that they can still change their mind and transfer somewhere else. This has happened a couple times in football recently. The most high-profile example is Dillon Gabriel announcing a transfer to UCLA and then transferring to Oklahoma a couple weeks later. Now, I'm not sure if that situation applies if you decide you want to transfer back to your original school after transferring somewhere else first. But to answer your first question, yes, they can enter the transfer portal and then decide to return, though it's up to the coach if they want to take them back. |

Texas has the second largest endowment in the country, only behind Harvard fyi... Overall endowment isn't necessarily directly in correlation to athletics spending. All schools distribute from their endowments differently and all have preferences about what they're going to do with endowment money. They even have different rules as to what needs to be done and who needs to approve expenditures. Don't get me wrong, overall endowment can matter, but it's not always the end all be all of athletics spending. Also Texas System has a huge in endowment but also the amount of students in their system put their dollar per pupil at a lower level than many other institutions. They might have a larger endowment, but their costs are also very high. And spending rarely equals endowment. I think we also need to realize that ND is private, which makes it easier for them to negotiate. |

Serious question, besides Monson, were any of those players worth keeping? If so, who? I have not been following their program, but I will from now on. I’d bet a pile of money there was discussion on wether or not Lina would have to take the kids in portal back. There’s a lot better players out there than the ND kids in portal. Who's Lina? |
