ND was never really a program that I payed much attention to but with half the roster in the portal prior to Salima stepping into the coaching role, it will be interesting to see how the roster fills in for the Fall 2021 season. We are all rooting for you Salima! Not one who usually starts thread so I apologize for this crunchy introduction.

Has Jepsen recommitted? Also, Salima said that Monson is staying, so you can probably take the "portal-ish" off of her status.

Jepsen's post about her decision to de-commit made no attempt at nuance. Something along the lines of -- I committed to ND to be coached by Mike Johnson... I mean, they tell you to commit to the school, not the coach, but whatevs.
ND is low on MBs so anything is possible.

I’m confused as to why Notre Dame isn’t keeping commits and why they aren’t getting new ones. Incredible school, new excited coaching staff, fun conference… why?

Baffling to me as well, but I like this pick up for the Boilermakers It’s a rebuild situation. That might not be what every recruit is looking for. I don’t think UND is playing a spring season due to lack of numbers. In time, the Irish will be back. |

I am assuming ND is sticking to their "no transfer" policy. This will set ND back a few years no matter who the coach is.

Or ND WVB tradition/standard? I believe it’s up to each individual ‘school’ inside the university. You cannot transfer into the school of business at Notre Dame, for example, so if you’re an athlete seeking a business degree, you need to find somewhere else. I think a few programs at Notre Dame allow transfers but the majority do not. (This may not be 100% accurate, just how I pretend to understand the situation?) |
