Also, that’s an upgrade for WKU scheduling standards, but not by that much. At least there’s Louisville. BG should be decent. Tennessee? Not sure how strong they will be. A&M maybe can surprise? WKU could do soooo much more. Anyone ever talked to or heard about Hudson talk about his scheduling philosophy? I honestly don't think it matters unless they play and win against 1 or 2 top 25 teams. They just get hammered in the nitty-gritty for the committee to *justify* them not getting a seed, despite their record and aggregate RPI. Yes - but they were good enough last year to win 1 or 2 against top 25 teams if they had scheduled the right ones. They appear to have no shot of a seed as long as they don't even try to schedule lower end of the T25 teams.

Very good. The top three in the WCC all appear to have strong non-conference schedules. Pepperdine is playing Nebraska, Baylor, Washington, Minnesota and Washington State. BYU is playing Pittsburgh, Ohio State, Georgia Tech, Washington State and Utah (they may be down this year, but they're historically pretty good). San Diego's schedule isn't out yet, but based on other released schedules, they're playing Pittsburgh, Louisville and Ohio State. They all kind of have to do this because the rest of the WCC was not great last year in terms of RPI. BYU, San Diego and Pepperdine were the only WCC schools in the top 100. And the other seven schools had a combined non-conference record of 29-39 (.426). Excluding LMU (9-1 out of conference), the other six were 20-38 (.345).

I know he did not say “what we think may be the toughest non-conference schedule in the nation” 😭 it’s tough but not THAT tough

It seems like almost all the top teams have moved away from playing twice in one day in pre-conference. Who is still doing it?
