I love that Syracuse has persevered. The Orange are playing great under a very likeable new coach.

I love that Syracuse has persevered. The Orange are playing great under a very likeable new coach. I was at the VT/Cuse match yesterday... the first three sets were all like different matches in themselves. Set 1 was all Cuse - blowout Set 2 was all VT - blowout (score was closer than the actual play) Set 3 was all Cuse - blowout (again, score was closer than actual play) Set 4 was back and forth but Shemanova took over and really was the difference. Cuse also has two lefties (one RS and one MB) that looked impressive most of the match. Their setter was a bit erratic - called for several doubles and definitely had several more that were not called - not sure if that was just an off day or not.

I love that Syracuse has persevered. The Orange are playing great under a very likeable new coach. If only a likable coach was all that it took. I have to hand it to the new coach for utilizing his players strengths. Looks like the coaches poll underestimated him and Syracuse will not finish last.

Salima & ND will continue rising into the top half. They're truly underrated at this point. I'm also wondering whether Duke can continue its severe underachieving all season, if NC State has the mental strength to find some consistency, and whether Miami is actually good or bad. It is also possible that UVA goes winless.

As much I want to be on the ACC train- aside from the Top 3 - it has been underperforming this year. Not as bad as past years but last year really set the bar high for me I guess

1st Team (14) Gracie Johnson | OH | Duke | Julia Bergmann | OH | Georgia Tech | Bianca Bertolino | OH | Georgia Tech | Claire Chaussee | OH | Louisville | Anna DeBeer | OH | Louisville | Amaya Tillman | MB | Louisville | Raquel Lazaro | S | Louisville | Elena Scott | L | Louisville | Ava Brizard | OH | NC State | Courtney Buzzerio | OPP | Pittsburgh | Serena Gray | MB | Pittsburgh | Polina Shemanova | OH | Syracuse | Mabrey Shaffmaster | OH | UNC | Emma Farrell | L | Wake Forest |
2nd Team (14) Camryn Hannah | OPP | Clemson | Emma Clothier | MB | Florida State | Tamara Otene | OPP | Georgia Tech | Breland Morrissette | MB | Georgia Tech | Aiko Jones | OPP | Louisville | Savannah Vach | S | Miami-FL | Janice Leao | MB | Miami-FL | Angela Grieve | OH | Miami-FL | Hattie Monson | L | Notre Dame | Valeria Vazquez Gomez | OH | Pittsburgh | Kaya Merkler | MB | UNC | Charley Niego | OH | UNC | Grace Turner | OH | Virginia | Paige Crawford | OH | Wake Forest |
Just missed: Haggerty, Slavik, Chang, Moss, D'Amico, Pimentel, Babic, Hernandez, Nwokolo, Dalton, Lokhmanchuk *I think DeBeer makes 1st team if she comes back healthy. Otherwise, I'd swap Vach up to 1st-team and then pull up another setter from the 'Just missed' list so there's a setter on the 2nd-team. All-Freshman Team (9) Audrey Rothman | Florida State | Ava Brizard | NC State | Avery Ross | Notre Dame | Anita Babic | UNC | Maddy May | UNC | Hanna Borer | Virginia Tech | Emma Farrell | Wake Forest | Paige Crawford | Wake Forest | ?? |

*I had trouble finding the last freshman
