Can I just say that I LOATHE that this league values (match points) won over a team's win/loss record when determining the league standings. Ugh. Anyways. I dont understand the logic at all.... I think they're the only league that does it too. I think most European pro leagues use points as the first ranking criteria, and wins as the second criteria? While the tournaments like CL use wins as the first criteria. But maybe there are some exceptions?

France, Poland, and Germany both use points over wins, I didnt know that. gross.

I thought Turkey was ranking points as the first criteria too looking at the standings at TVF site (ranking points as the first column in bold). But maybe it's just the default dataproject design which they haven't bothered changing, lol. (I don't really follow the Turkish league).

It can still happen, e.g. 2022 Mihajlovic. I’m glad someone noticed that besides me. Now she didn’t become some dime passer but she randomly became solid enough to pass the eye test and not get absolutely wrecked I don't think Mihajlovic "randomly" became a decent passer.

Firenze is not making the playoffs unless Malinov stops having to randomly bump set balls because she’s scared sh¡tless of doubling and they go back to Alhassan in the middle (since they clearly didn’t get a foreign setter or opposite)

This is especially needed by lower ranked teams.

I get that... but I see wins as more important (maybe its an American-ism.. since we dont use points for anything)

Wins honestly makes more sense. Say a team went five sets 8 times and lost every single time. Then they would have 0 wins, but 8 points, and be higher than a team that has actually won two matches (and therefore, earned 6 points).
