If the Beach and Hawaii end up tied for 1st place in the BWC, what are the tie breakers besides head to head results? a. Head-to-head record in Conference matches between tied teams.(UH-LBSU tied 1-1) b. Highest percentage of sets won in the Conference matches played between tied teams. (UH-LBSU tied: 3-0 & 3-0) c. Points scored divided by points allowed in Conference matches between tied teams. (UH seeds #1 with 144-141 lead) 3 points difference! Crazy! |

I am sad that I am going to have to DVR senior night in order to watch Merrie Monarch. Mahalo nui loa to all the seniors for everything they did for the program and the State of Hawai'i!!!

Dang this Senior class gonna make me small kine emotional. They truly represented our State with dignity and class. They brought so much joy to Hawai'i and will forever be indebted to them. Wish I could make it to the BWC and NCAA's but work stands in my way. So I have to take in the moment that this will be my final time seeing Jakob, Dimi, and Cole play in person one last time. My hope is that they get Filip in there and Devon in there even if just as a 1 time serving sub.

(Spectrum News/Brian McInnis) Excerpt: HONOLULU — As it prepares to send off some of its most impactful players in program history, the Hawaii men’s volleyball team took in a lesson about appreciating what it has. The Rainbow Warriors took care of UC San Diego in four sets on Friday night — 28-26, 25-17, 19-25, 25-14 — in front of a Stan Sheriff Center crowd of just over 6,000, then reflected about the connections they have with their supporters. No. 1 UH (25-2, 8-1 Big West) won its eighth straight match, had a season-high 14 blocks, tossed in eight service aces and rose to the occasion when the Tritons (8-15, 2-7) threatened to make it a long night, but afterward coach Charlie Wade was more eager to talk about something else. An unnamed fan emailed the team about the recent loss of a child and the catharsis she felt attending one of the team’s matches the previous week against UC Irvine, Wade said. “I can’t imagine losing a child. But we talk a lot about, ‘What we do matters,’” Wade said. “It means a lot to a lot of people. And we talked about how much the fans mean to us. They mean a lot. They help us a ton. It’s nice to know that sometimes the fans need us as much as we need them.” Wade shared her story with the team before Friday’s match.
