ASU really putting on the service pressure since the end of the 3rd. Up 14-10 in the 4th. UNI seeming a bit sloppier. UNI really struggled with that last year. Improved a fair amount when Sydney transferred in, but there are still some weak spots at times.

And more service pressure again at the end of the 4th, and ASU wins the last two points to the take the 4th, 25-23. Going 5.

UNI falling apart. Several hitting errors. ASU just battling hard. Good serving. Consistent hitting. ASU up 8-2.

When ASU is in system, they are very solid. UNI not serving tough enough.

And ASU gets the reverse sweep, winning in the 5th 15-10. ASU just played better in the close moments at the end of the 3rd and 4th sets, with strong serving. Nice win for ASU.

Sun Devils win on Marta Levinska's 21st kill of the match. That was a career high

so far ASU weakness is blocking, which I am sure they will work on, and Iman is either tired from playing all summer or something. She's not playing like she improved. I like the new Libero, consistent passing. I am excited to see how they continue to get better every week.

I'm going to guess that the fact that 5th set was played after midnight Iowa time may have been a factor.

this is my first experience with the revised challenge system (I know some conferences used it last season, but the MVC did not) in the first 2 sets, both teams have challenged 2 different plays. UNI was successful in both their challenges (the original calls being overturned), while ASU was unsuccessful with both of their challenges. Which means UNI still has 2 challenges remaining, while ASU is out of challenges (although I think they would get one additional challenge should the match go to a 5th set) UNI had gone 4 for 4 on challenges before finally losing one in the 4th set, making it 4 for 5 for the match at that point. Don't know if there were any challenges in the 5th set.

"Who wins all their matches?" asks the poll.... and the correct answer is the team that wasn't even included in the poll: Toledo (they just swept ASU)

Toledo is a very good team in defense, passing, defense, and more defense and their Middle blocker
