Hey everyone, before our infrastructure is updated letβs encourage everyone to go buy electric cars I thought your claim was that Republican states were better with energy infrastructure? Most electric cars charge regularly overnight between midnight and 6am, using the excess capacity when usage is at its lowest. That is why it hasn't been a big deal yet and has bought us some time to beef up our aging infrastructure. California has been pushing rooftop solar, which adds capacity closer to where it is used without requiring additional transmission capacity, and is now moving into subsidizing power walls, which will also greatly help level our power grid without additional infrastructure. Those measures help greatly, but we need still need to address our aging infrastructure.

A week or so ago I was listening to some nameless Fox radio show (Not Hannity or Carlson) for some GOP perspective. The guest actually argued that since China is ahead of us in battery manufacture, that promoting electric cars was helping China and we should double down on fossil fuels. The mind wobbles. A generation ago we led in battery technology. Back then idiots like this argued against supporting the industry and argued against any mandates to support EVs. The result is the companies became worthless and China bought out and improved the technology. Now, instead of investing heavily to catch back up after giving away our early advantage, these geniuses want us to fall even further behind and completely sacrifice our future in the direction the planet is obviously headed.

I wonder if Russia will do a trade, our red states for Ukraine. It could end the war, get rid of the economic-political drag on our country and yet keep us fed. If the GOP only knew how much economic damage they have inflicted.

Wasn't referring to states contribution to their local affairs but to fed policies. But I do find it comical that you used a covid year for your argument. Next you'll be comparing states school testing during a covid year, oh wait a minute, you've already done that.

How much money do you and your state take from the government? You are the welfare queen living off the governments teat Really, why are we in the top 10 of financially solid states? Why are your biggest blue states at the very bottom of this study? The very bottom. Sad really.

These factors may reverse next year and the rankings may once again shift due to these transitory changes."

I can look at past studies before Covid and the answers are pretty much going to be the same. Red states have always been strong financially while blue states are precarious. So you lied. Thatβs a democrat for you.

Population and natural resources wealth. Now tell me Hoolie, which 5 have a greater wealth ratio. 1. Alaska: $55,100 Taxpayer Surplus 2. North Dakota: $39,200 Taxpayer Surplus 3. Wyoming: $19,500 Taxpayer Surplus 4. Utah: $6,500 Taxpayer Surplus 5. South Dakota: $5,200 Taxpayer Surplus 46. Massachusetts: -$28,100 Taxpayer Burden 47. Hawaii: -$38,100 Taxpayer Burden 48. Illinois: -$57,000 Taxpayer Burden 49. Connecticut: -$58,300 Taxpayer Burden 50. New Jersey: -$62,500 Taxpayer Burden

Other than Texas and Florida red states got nothing.
