BIG ORANGE BASH- Clemson on ACCNX August 26th and 27th Thanks for sharing the info! I didn't include this one in the first post because there wasn't a VT match thread made for it to link to. Clemson hasn't had much fan activity on VT the past few years so it isn't among the teams that often gets match threads. That said, if there are ever any matches for which you'd like a match thread, this thread might be a good place to submit a request for one. I think a lot of the folks who regularly make match threads would be happy to oblige if they have the time. And if you were to make one yourself we'd definitely link to it in the OP, too. Apologies for the long match thread riff if you had just wanted to share that info! |

Last season we had an unofficial system in place to try to get threads made for all the Big Ten conference schedule matches and we expanded that into covering all the matches in the NCAA tournament. I don't know if that was annoying for match threadmakers or appreciated by them, or maybe a mixed bag. I thought we could try to implement it for these last three weeks of preseason to try get threads made for the head-to-head matches between Top 25 ranked teams, including teams receiving votes. Here's a table showing all such matches, whether they've been made, and who's either made it, volunteered to make it, or if it's unspoken for. I've also penciled in some folks who have either called dibs on a team (in eazy's recent thread: Match Thread Content Creators) or frequently cover a team or conference. If anyone would like to call dibs on the open matches they can reply to this thread and we can update things here (I'll keep my eyes peeled elsewhere on the board, too). I'm also tagging folks who've made match threads recently for these teams to bring this to their attention and so they can weigh in on whether they're planning to make threads. I can make the Pittsburgh vs Utah State one pretty easily. Both those teams played in tournaments I made threads for last week. I was planning to do the Texas @ Stanford one bc it's at Stanford but if someone else wants to do it, it's fine with me.
Please let me know about the thread for the Outrigger Tournement in Hawaii. I can easily make it but there are other ppl who like to make the Hawaii threads and I don't want to step on their toes.
If you want to make the thread for the Texas @ Stanford match or for the Outrigger Tournament, please let me know. Otherwise, I'll start making those soon.
