Ohio State needs a better fan section, there fans need to be more obnoxious than that lol. Dude it's the midwest. The meanest thing that happens in the B1G is Wisconsin's student section yelling "SIEVE!" at the libero when they serve. I much prefer these student sections to whatever the f is happening at BYU these days.

Eh, I have no issues if someone states the number of times we were "bounced early" (I'd wager hardly anyone considers "early" the correct term once you've reached the Final Four). But, to say it's "a lot" is not something I'm on board with. And, what about those seasons when we surpassed our seed? 2010 -- #9 seed made it to the Final four 2012 -- #3 seed won the national championship 2015 -- #3 seed made it to national championship match (losing to #4 seed Nebraska in Omaha) 2016 -- #4 seed made it to national championship match after defeating the #1 seed 2020 -- #4 seed made it to national championship match after defeating the #1 seed What about them? Awesome? Yeah definitely. But I think the original point that started this convo was a reply to a comment something along the line of “it’s scary how much better this team will get throughout the season” and hipsterfilth replying “not sure that that’s true…” So the point was about regressing and not living up to the seeding. So 2011, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021… that’s 7 seasons of underperforming compared to 5 seasons of exceeding expectations, he’s making a case for himself. This is not an attack on Texas btw. Think of it as Rafael Nadal not winning French Open. It’s expected for him to win. When it doesn’t happen it’s amplified. Texas was the #6 national seed in 2017, and the #5 national seed in 2018. Lost at the higher seed in the Elite 8 those seasons. Try again.

Go do something with your night.

WTF is wrong with you horns1? Actually, don’t answer that cuz I’m about to head out and really don’t care. But do something with your night…perhaps improve your reading comprehension.

Think of it as Rafael Nadal not winning French Open. It’s expected for him to win. When it doesn’t happen it’s amplified. There is never a time when Texas not meeting expectations is considered a compliment. The wording of the post was Texas fails to make it deep in the tournament a lot, the implication being their presence in the Big 12 being the cause of it. There was no defining what was meant by making it deep in the tournament, but if someone means playing to their seed, they should say playing to their seed. Give me a program that has been more consistent in terms of their tournament performances, outside of national championships. With Penn State and Stanford faltering, the best examples are Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Minnesota, and of them only Nebraska has performed at a commensurate level for a long time. Even they had the 2nd round exit in 2011. They have the 5 Final Fours versus 6 for Texas in that time, but the big difference is their two championships to Texas's one. If people want to say Texas has only won the one national championship, say that. But when it starts getting stretched anything beyond that, it doesn't pass the smell test. If someone comes back and says they're being misunderstood, well, it's because you misstated your position.
