Hate Nebraska plays Thursday/Saturday. Really inconvenient for those of us that aren’t in Lincoln area.

Hope for the BTN plus match on Thursday they have JB and Lauren making the call via Husker Radio. I thought that was the arrangement that was made for the BTN plus broadcasts, but the Pepperdine Match was a couple student announcers (that happens quite a bit on BTN plus matches). The play by play guy was tolerable, but the commentary guy was borderline clueless--and irritating. I ended up watching the last set with the sound off.
If I were more technologically adept, I could probably sync up the radio broadcast with the stream. Unfortunately I am not.

The default for BTN+ is student announcers. IIRC, syncing the radio up was done in the past when students weren’t available early in the year.

Saying things here or there he previously wouldn’t have, for example. A hair more opinionated maybe? But still enjoyable overall. I think Lauren is getting loads better with her color commentary! |

The default for BTN+ is student announcers. IIRC, syncing the radio up was done in the past when students weren’t available early in the year. i was pretty excited when i heard they were going to use the radio feed ‘this year’. so imagine my disappointment seeing “the two dudes”. so either the idea of JB and Lauren ongoing was wishful thinking, or someone in the UNL broadcast journalism department said “hey, wait a minute! what about our students!” |

i’ll try to get on the hype train with a quick scouting report on the LMU Lions
LMU has started the season 1-2 with a pummeling of Utah Valley and 2 sweeps at the hands of Utah and Kansas. They were actually in the match with KU taking the first two games to OT. but in the third set they apparently started looking ahead to their next match (NU) and got blown out 25-12
Their top players are two sophomores. Their setter, Isabella Bareford and their 6’5” OH Kari Geissberger. Both of whom are preseason all WCC.
That was fun!
