Pheewwww..that was a nail biter. Ducks just a bit stronger at the very end. Very hard to put away the Ducks. But, Rice definitely seems like a tourney team. Yeah, they'll be a tourney team. It's hard to see them going farther than the second round, though. But that's still good. Good program, frankly.

Brooke 20 kills. Neal with 12, and hit .421. All hitters in positive numbers. Pukis with 52 assists, and 24 digs. Amazing. Owls actually outdug the Ducks, which doesn't happen often against the Ducks.

Rice should be getting better now that Bichelmeyer is back. She didn’t play last weekend and played only a few plays vs UC Davis. And really only played half of the match today.

Nice win but Stanford is going to roll through Pac 12 play. How much do you charge for each trip over the bridge?

Our block has struggled against two pretty dynamic/deceptive, fast tempo setters. Not sure how many more setters like Meyer/Graham we're going to see over the rest of the year. Will be stiffer competition next weekend, but also a very different look.

Plus of course the PAC setters in Miner, Powell, McKissock, Tuaniga are all really good, but Tuaniga and Miner don’t necessarily set fast tempo. Miner put on a show against Florida, it just got overshadowed by the show Stucky was giving. I’d say Washington with Powell will definitely be the toughest challenge, which sucks because that’s the most important team to beat😭

Graham on a so so pass is scary as heck. Graham with all her options is a friggin' wizard.

I think more in the Blossom/DeWalt mold - not sure anyone in the PAC runs an offense like that (maybe CU from what I saw today). Powell is like the opposite of that.

It was Lewis by a mile when they came in, then Glo got a lot better and passed her up, but I think lewis is blocking better rn
