I will say that, after the 0-3 weekend against tough competition in Texas, I think Robyn has done a good coaching job to get 2 sweeps of solid teams back on the islands, which should help rebuild confidence. 100% agree! Robyn continued to say we have the right pieces even after the losses. Such a great coach.

First time I have seen Hawaii play this season, on video or in person. A very interesting team. As noted by others, their defense is quite impressive, especially for this early in the season. Their serve receive is really questionable. It might be psychological, it might the team getting used to different people passing, it might be players just not feeling comfortable because Van Sickle isn't there. But certainly weird lapses. I can see what people say about consistency. Some times, the players look really good and other times they seem to lose focus. Igiede continues to impress. Wagoner looks little more steady in her hitting. And I can see the potential everyone talks about with Alexander. When she made clean contact with the ball, it's impressive that she is only a freshman. Setting was a little suspect. Lang did well finding the hot hand in Igiede but a few of the sets to other players were a little off, which contributed to hitting errors. I am looking forward to seeing the team develop this year. I think the potential is there, but they need to string together good plays throughout the match. As for West Virginia, Ell was truly impressive. I wasn't quite clear why she started setting in the match given she was hitting very well. West Virginia may be really good a couple of years from now when all of their freshman are upperclassmen. Not sure how they will do this year in the Big 12 and how that may hurt Hawaii's RPI, but will also be fun to keep an eye on a team that is starting so many young players. Agree. And to think that this Hawaii team will keep everyone going into next year except for Byrd, and add a few contributors, they could really be good next year. But they could be pretty darn good this year already. Looking forward to individual and team development and to see what Robin does with this group.

To be honest, though, Lang hasn't exactly been playing great.
