And who you got filling her spot? Jaylen Reyes. Jaylen Reyes? Braddah man wouldn't touch it with a 10ft pole. Doesn't he make more than what Robyn makes and if not... his salary at Nebraska with its affordable quality of living and its rabid fanbase doesn't have anything Jaylen would come home for.

Can afford him? He’s making quite a name for himself at the most famous program in the country that I’m sure he wants to inherit I think DBK is the heir apparent. Reyes would be a good "first" HC job for him and who knows what his life priorities right now. I will say though, I am not advocating for her to be fired or anything bc I think she's doing a fine job with her rosters over the years.

No one likes hearing the covid impact. But if not for it, we might still have Helvig.
And this is potentially a very different team with Helvig hitting and blocking at the opposite position. They don't have to rely so much on Wagoner out of system, and the offense gets spread pin to pin. They'd have a true opposite to bail them out.

And who you got filling her spot? I’m pretty sure a nationwide search can land us a a very good alternative. I mean how long has Rob been our coach? What’s our best showing in the post-season? Sweet 16? How are our yearly recruits been looking like? We can’t even keep our verbal commits and we have had a lot of transfer outs. Just shut up. One decommit from a flakey player isn’t “can’t keep our verbal commits”, 1 transfer out due to covid and 3 that barely even touch the floor where they are at? You are just pointing fingers at easiest target. You’ve obviously never coached. Yes, it has been a struggle to get back up into the upper tier of the NCAA but every season has been a positive winning season, becoming an Elite 8 or Final 4 team isn’t as easy as snapping your fingers.

I also don’t want her to be fired but her teams have consistently been sloppy to me. I do think she needs better help for sure!

She absolutely did! And Luper/McCall were still going off. So I can see wanting to put a bigger block up. Remember too Hawaii was using the 6-2, so Byrd didn't end up getting as many chances on the block that we think. But in the end, I can see what Robyn was trying to do. It didn't net any block stats for Byrd. But hindsight is 20/20 ... Then your point don’t make sense cause when she was in the front row and ain’t block a a thing and in a true 6-2 Robyn could give af about her block After a while the 6-2 was kinda abandoned tho. In part because De Goede offered nothing on offense, which u alluded to thru the thread ... lol

The only positive to come out of this weekend is that Robyn found her 'GOTO' Outside Hitter, and it is not Riley Wagoner, but Caylen Alexander. Caylen has been the most consistent Outside Hitter/Opposite, that the Wahine have. Everyone else, is either very good, or very bad, match to match, or even set to set.
This weekend proves that Robyn needs Kennedi Evans on the floor as soon as possible. Allowing Robyn to move Tiffany Westerberg to Opposite, freeing up Braelyn Akana to backup the Riley Wagoner, when she goes into one of her funks, or eveb at Opposite. Right now Robyn does not have a backup at the Outside Hitter, or Opposite position. Not a good to not have.
