Ok I just want conference play to start already lol No worries. If USC plays next weekend the way they played this weekend, Hawaii has a decent chance with at least one win. If not both matches. I got USC taking both matches. The fire power on the pins is too much for SC. Williams can keep up with Igiede, but Trubint and Tuaniga much better position players then their counter parts at this point in time. USC just faced stiff competition again Kentucky and Creighton, both Top 15 programs in the nation.

I can see Alexander moving to the OH1 position and Riley to the OH2. Riley had the chance, and it didn't pan out. Alexander will be hitting against a different blocking combination, and I hope she comes through. Riley is too valuable as an all-around asset compared to whomever Coach Ahmow has next in line.

It’s a rough loss because we lead but I’m happy we fought.
Let’s regroup and take usc next weekend. Go bows!

This is a stupid, brain dead take. Robyn isn’t the one on the floor, players have to execute. But girl, the proof is in the pudding and Robyn’s pudding hasn’t been sweet yet lol but I think this season and another will be telling for her and her “staff” lol Now I can get behind a need for adding someone who can take over the offensive and blocking focuses of the team, that is something desperately needed. But if missing the Elite 8, Final 4, Championship is what is being compared to, then I think that line of thinking is just foolish because there are literally hundreds of programs that don’t make it there. There’s seasonal luck in getting recruits and there is building towards culture of effort and hard work which is what i tell Ah Mow is doing. I don’t necessarily think we have the personnel to just blow out every team we face but the effort is there. But again, execution is not all on the coach, it’s majority on the players. I’m sure Robyn doesn’t teach undersetting the middle, or repeating to De Goede so she can swing underhand over and over. There were a lot of bad decisions by individual players that cost this match. Then there were also players like Akana and Alexander who got up for this game. I would like to see new, offensive life breathed into this team via an additional staff hire but calls for Robyn’s ouster after this loss is categorically idiotic and shows a lack of real intelligent critical thinking skills by some on here.

Yeah let’s just say some extra help is needed but I get what other people are saying cause I’m not sure those girls are getting trained up cause it don’t look like it. But more needs to be seen

A healthy Jolie in 2019 and we are an elite eight team.
No Covid in 2020 we are again an elite eight team.
With hellvig, this years team is much better. Robyns faced some setbacks but she a damn good coach

Then your point don’t make sense cause when she was in the front row and ain’t block a a thing and in a true 6-2 Robyn could give af about her block After a while the 6-2 was kinda abandoned tho. In part because De Goede offered nothing on offense, which u alluded to thru the thread ... lol Yeah and it didn’t take a rocket scientist to see she wasn’t gonna provide offense but I’m presently surprised that she gave great serving and some off defensive plays

Two Big West Programs coming up short against two nationally ranked PAC 12 teams early in the season. Hawai'i has another shot at winning one, hopefully they prove me wrong! Go Bows!

But more needs to be seen Yea just someone who can give life to the offense would be ideal. Idk what Nick’s role is on the staff but I think we would be just fine replacing him, preferably with a hitting coach with some professional experience.

And those who are defending Riley that she does a lot of all around things when her hitting is off. Well, isn’t that a good quality trait of a DS? If she remains to be our “go to” OH1, we won’t be making the post-season… I’m being frank. What is with all these folks attacking her and asking she transfer? Some of you guys a frigging PILAU. I no yeah? It's not like we lost tausans at Paiute.
