Anyone else loving Jacksonville State this season? I started watching them by accident, but am slowly getting addicted. They don't really have the height of a D1 team, but there's a level of heart there that isn't always seen. Pretty awesome to watch...

Two "Power Five" victories over the past two weeks. Indiana last week, Clemson this week.... Both times in the other team's home gym.

Yeah, the ASUN looks good. Maybe, maybe, they get an at large team in to drive to a pod host, but I would not bet on it. I would be in favor of that if the teams merit it, but sadly the system usually does not work like that!

I'm always behind the mid-majors.
But.... how did Jacksonville State drop a set -9 to the Citadel, who is 1-4 on the season? Jacksonville State escaped them in 5.. but.. yikes.

From what I could tell it was just combination of a really off set for Jacksonsville State with 8 or so hitting errors and 14 kills with no errors for the Citadel. |

No big surprise, but Jacksonville State beats Gardner Webb 3-0 to stay undefeated.
Actually tempted to go watch them live next Saturday when they play Samford…

Another 3-0 weekend for Jacksonville State. They did drop a set to Samford who came out guns ablazing (unsurprising after their slow starts against both Nicholls and South Dakota State).
Not sure what I'm loving more about this team so far. Their offense is pretty amazing and while Kindermann (her nickname should be "Killer" Kindermann at this point) is leading in kills, they have plenty of others that have been strong scorers for the team. Carmichael also seems to have an amazing energy on the court and it appears that Ochs can do it all.

Jacksonville has a Pablo of 64, and RPKI of 91, and 2 power 5/Top 100 wins. Auburn has a Pablo of 65, an RPKI of 165, and has played 0 power 5/Top 100 matches. With Pablo scores that close, it's probably even money or a slight favorite to JSU, but certainly not Auburn as a favorite. EDIT* - Actually Massey has JSU 61% to beat Auburn. |

Worth noting that Auburn's best player was out last week due to injury. I don't know if she'll be back.
