Badgers close it out, 25-18. Really happy with the sweep, obviously.

More touches on the block because WI put the pressure on with the serve. Good job! KY needs to pass and they'll be pretty solid.

How embarrassing. Kentucky you literally lead in the middle of all 3 sets. So canceled

Robinson ends it.
Wasn't pretty but UW just served and blocked better and stayed patient in hitting with OOS balls. Wore Kentucky down.

Isn't Hart like 30 years old?
That said, I don't know why but I seriously dislike Adanna Rollins. Isn't this her third team to try to make a name for herself?

I think we will see a lot of "ugly" WI wins this year. No argument there. But a 3-0 win against a quality team in their hot gym?! Badgers deserve a bit more respect From all concerned. Ceiling seems really high, even if they look a bit messy to start the season.

Kentucky offense in system is scary good. Gotta serve 'em out of it and get some blocks, and Badgers managed to do that tonight.

UK notes:
- The team needs to go back to the drawing board re: passing formations. Continuing to pass with 2 after a 4-point service run (or something like that) is baffling. Lamb passing balls while she's in the front row is baffling. Serve-pass is such a staple of UK volleyball and I feel like UK has the pieces to put together something at least somewhat better than what we saw tonight.
- Grome. What was up with your location tonight... I really think Grome struggles with what Lilley struggled with at times during her career: trying to do too much. If you're OOS and you can't get to the ball, maybe don't try a quick set to your LS. Or a D ball. Or a ball that looks like it's going to both the middle and LS. Maybe her worst match I've watched. Just very bad.
- Positives: Rutherford is the real deal. Hell yeah. Goetzinger deserves as much praise as anyone this year and Rollins' offense seems like it's here to stay (when she isn't getting set 8 times in a row in transition). UK looked like the better team tonight for most of the match, which is a plus I guess. I think this team has top 4 potential, but Grome has to play cleaner, and Skinner/Anders need to work their back row magic. If they don't, I think we'll see more unwatchable matches like this one.

Rutherford is just amazing. Rollins is good, and had a decent match but the badgers know her pretty well.

GG’s second contact sets are just amazing. A big reason why the badgers swept. And her serving.
