Huskies survive! Cal Poly is the best 0-6 team in volleyball. I agree. Dvoracek and Markovska both hit over .400. They were outplaying the Huskies for most of the match, and have better numbers in most categories. Maybe need a better ace vs. service error ratio moving forward.

Omfg y’all take it easy on Daniel haha He is horrible. Voice and comments are just obnoxious --- and he is a know-it-all that doesn't know as much as he thinks he does. Among many other WRONG comments... "There's no better team in the west than UW and Pepperdine". Um....wrong.

Sometimes you just win. Take it and work on your issues. Fortunately for Washington, their upcoming schedule is not too bad. Take care of business in Montana, and then the early league matches are either at home or against teams working stuff out as well.

Well there was an article in the Seattle Times on Thursday, September 8 describing this team having championship aspirations. they sure didn't look like it on Friday. Is there hope? Sure. But they better start sweeping some teams. Winning ugly four and five set matches isn't going to cut it. That's just being realistic, not pessimistic.

In a recent example, though, remember Wisconsin went 4-4 in the non conference in 2019, including 2 matches versus Washington I would like to forget, so turn arounds are possible to the level of playing for a title, at least.

Ok but all 4 of those losses were against ranked teams who were all top 20 teams at the time and all 3 of those opponents made the elite 8 with 1 going to the national semis. The 4 wins were all 3-0 sweeps. That's quite the difference compared to the Husky results so far. I think the Huskies have a long ways to go attain the level and the consistency they'll need for a deep run this year.

Using sets W:L as a tie-breaker, Northwestern won this tournament. Or using the FIVB method 3 pts for 3-0/3-1 win, 2 for 3-2 win, 1 for 2-3 loss.

It really is still early, the team is still trying to find its identity, and Cook & Co. have proven themselves to be adept developers of volleyball talent. I haven't seen all the matches, but Pepperdine and Arkansas are good teams, no doubt. The weaknesses are pretty clear and the team has its work cut out, but at least they know what they should be working on.
