Who is actually going? I want a testimonial to the atmosphere. I have doubts that the intimacy of the Field House can translate to the Kohl center, and that space is so large I worry the energy of the fans could get diluted a bit. Would love my worries to be proved wrong. The match is a sellout. You cannot buy a ticket from the UW. Probably available on StubHub. There is no way to predict how many no-shows, but on a Friday night if you have the ticket why would you not go? If you haven't been to a men's basketball game, let me assure you the place can be very loud! The volleyball fans are not known for sitting on their hands. I'm curious about the statement in the article that says the Big Ten network is allowing this to be a national broadcast. How are they doing that?

Regarding the attendance tonight, it would be interesting to know what expectations they set and how they account for the students. I'm not aware that any student tickets ever went on sale separately. However, if a student buys a 'red card'(i think it gets them into all events except mens bball and football), they effectively get a ticket for tonight. I do not know how many red cards there are versus how many seats are set aside in the student section.

There won't be random disconnected people in there. We're taking two guests who know nothing about volleyball or UW, so there will be at least two.

I hope we get our regular announcer back this evening, and Bonnie is at the Kohl Center.

So psyched for this game. I've been keeping an eye on what tickets have been getting posted for sale on StubHub (a pet peeve I have with the UW athletic dept) and I have not seen any for the normal student sections 114, 115, 116 or for the other end, 128, 101, 102. If 128, 101, 102 had been sold to big donors, etc, some would very likely have ended up on StubHub. So yeah, it seems like both ends.

rooting for my gators to pull off the upset! It is kind of weird for me, from a historical perspective, reading this. The Badgers (barely) ended the all time 0 for Florida streak in Spring 2021, checking one more box off the program all time to do list. The only remaining item is to beat Stanford. I hope the Gators lose badly tonight and then win a lot afterward. I think it was 2019 when I was in Gainesville looking for beer on a trip to see the folks and they were playing elsewhere in the NCAA Tournament. I did try to send good vibes to them that day!
