You think the Wisc Libero lost that match for them? 100% GG was terrible tonight. That was one of the worst libero performances I’ve ever seen from a top 25 team. The 3rd set and 4th set were won by just utter domination at the net. no. Go watch Iosia from Nebraska game last year or the BYU libero from NCAA tournament..

Nothing funnier after a Badger loss than all of the "faithful" posting constantly about the reason they lost.
I just wish they'd agree if it was the coaching, setting, libero, serve/receive, fans, that guy who was doing the commentary, or a particularly cloudy day which made it more humid in the gym.
For once, please agree on something.

I'm sorry. It was a good win for the gators.
I'm just frustrated that the badgers let the same issues that have been plagued the team this preseason crop up again. They know what the problems have been. I expect some improvement, not backsliding.
I'm letting the frustration get the best of me.

Highly entertaining match and nice to see a packed venue at the Kohl Center! Florida looked gutsy and Beason and Stucky are unreal talents, but I can’t help but notice how McKissok blew the sweep for them and almost ultimately cost them the whole match. I’d like to see what they’d be like with a better libero. As for Wisconsin, could’ve been a down night them but there’s just something off with them so far this season. Luckily it’s Texas and then everyone else this year so no reason they can’t be in that 2nd tier of teams. Not sure how much separates for example #2 from #13 this season when talking about rankings. McKissock played lights out tonight and was an anchor for our defense. If you want to talk about who blew the third set for us I would start with our OH1 and even more so our OH2. When you’re up 19-13 in the 3rd after dominating the first two sets, it shouldn’t come down to losing by two points at the end of the set. Especially after having a couple of match point opportunities.

So.. was the Kohl Center a success? I dunno. I am going with yes, but how would it have played out in FH? There was a lot more lateral space in the Kohl Center. I'll say this, I'm pretty sure the problem with the floor and the constant wiping up was that it was humid today - not crazy humid, but humid - and the ice is in for hockey season. I think the ice under the court was causing condensation making the floor start to get wet. Izzy slipped pretty badly early on, and in that 4th set, Florida players were slipping enough I thought Wise might pull them off the floor altogether. If they ever do this again, you gotta do something about taking down the humidity, or insulate the floor better.

Gulce was terrible 75%+ of the time. MJ Hammill had some pretty brutal stretches too.
Florida played solid but they are not a Top 10 team. Badgers are just overated.

Both against top 20 teams, both went five sets, and both they could have won with a bounce here of there going their way. The team that wins the B1G this year is going to have maybe four, maybe five conference losses. It's gonna be a grind. Tonight's comeback will serve them well during that grind. Get ready for it. Congrats to Florida. Their block touches slowed the Badger offense greatly in the first couple sets and then again at the end.

So Badgers cruise in 4th with Demps in place of Franklin Then no Demps in 5th, all Franklin I don’t get it. Why not keep going with the hot lineup? And even though Franklin had her best set in the 5th … the team is worse with her on the floor … #freedemps *edited to say maybe not worse, but certainly more chaotic for some reason I have watched Wisconsin since 1999. Franklin was not good tonight. When she is, her and healthy Orzol give Wisconsin an OOS threat from the left side the likes of which I have never seen. Really.

The Badgers didn't give themselves a decent chance to win for the longest time in tonights match. Unforced hitting error after error. And there were plenty of plays that Florida didn't have a good block formed and we just would hit long, hit long, hit out, rinse repeat... The Badgers are and have been overated. Some players are actually regressing. Once again a good share of our errors were unforced. Florida is a good team bit nowhere near Texas, Ohio State and so forth.

The box score says Wisconsin had 33 errors, and Florida had 16 blocks. So that leaves 17 as "unforced". 17 in a five-set with extra points played isn't really all that much. And how many of those "unforced" were tries at "high hands" that missed? Florida might be the tallest team Wisconsin has played in... ever? If we get to play Texas, I'll take my chances. In the meantime, take a deep breath, It's a long season, and we're just getting started.

Mostly terrible in Sets 1-3, Franklin heated up in the 4th and cooled off in the 5th missing a real crucial kill attempt. In hindsight I believe the Badgers would have been better off subbing Demps in for Franklin and letting her go 6 rotations. Especially in crunch time 8-8 in the 5th. She would have been especially valuable in the backrow.
