I like the big jumps in the polls - makes sense early in the season when there aren't a lot of data points - but there's obviously more than the previous week, so teams have results that can offset other results - positively or negatively. Penn State deserves to be up to 10. Also, I like the handling of SD and Ohio State. If I were a voter, I might have dropped MN one or two more spots - but I've been obsessing about that 12-25 set. An 0-3 sweep, losing the last set 24-26, would have looked better. Lol.

Marquette and Purdue at 6 is reaching lol I put Purdue at six. I've changed my approach this season to more closely reflect results so my votes and been very volatile. I had Purdue in the 20s last week. I'm not sure I even had them in my poll bc they were near #25; for me, most of the teams in the 20s are interchangable. I didn't hate Purdue but they hadn't played anyone of note and I wanted to reward teams who had. This was esp true for teams in the B1G, PAC, ACC, or Big 12; if you want to be ranked, show you're good. They'll have plenty of time to play good teams and move up or down.
I think Georgia Tech is a really good team and Purdue beat them in four so I moved them way up.
I'm not sure I'll keep relying on results as much as I have bc my rankings have been pretty volatile.

When did Purdue beat GA Tech in 4?! My huge mistake. I mixed them up w Ohio State. I'm sleep deprived and my vision has been blurry so hard to read scores. (for real)
I had them in the high twenties and was ready to send in my poll but remembered the match incorrectly so I moved them at the last minute

Week 3 - at this point, I am mostly looking at key wins and losses and whether it was home/road. Not really looking at point differential or future as much.
A team like BYU - best win is Washington State. Purdue's best win is Utah or Tennessee (neither which is close to as good as last year). Florida's best win is Florida Gulf Coast. Georgia Tech's best win is BYU, which is not looking as special as it did a while ago. Western Kentucky's best win is Bowling Green and the only potential T25 win on their schedule is Rice. There is a lot of light resumes in the T25 right now.
Here was my ballot:
1. Texas 2. Nebraska 3. Louisville 4. Wisconsin 5. Minnesota 6. Ohio State 7. San Diego 8. Stanford 9. Penn State 10. Washington 11. Kentucky 12. Baylor 13. Georgia Tech 14. Pittsburgh 15. Oregon 16. Creighton 17. Florida 18. Purdue 19. Arkansas 20. Pepperdine 21. UCF 22. Marquette 23. Mississippi State 24. Rice 25. BYU

When did Purdue beat GA Tech in 4?! I was about to say the same thing. But with all that baytree does for VT he is forgiven lol. No but seriously, thank you for all you do!

Still the lowest Nebraska voter. Scheduling mostly. Last week it was because Cook was trying new lineups every game and none of them were playing clean volleyball even when they were significantly more *talented* as a group. This would be a week for Big Red to move up. Go 2-0 and look good doing it straight into the Top 5. Don't and... we'll see when the dust clears. Edit: Accidentally a word.

Being nitpicky but I like houston to get more votes than Ms State (they beat them in Starkville).
Also, thank ya’ll for Rice. As big of a proponent as I am for them, i’m not sold on WKU
