I think Vandenberg should be coming back at some point this season for Marquette as well.
I saw someone mention it earlier, Marquette doesn’t have an absolute star like Allie Barber or Konovodoff this year, but this is probably their best overall team top to bottom.
And Anchante is a complete game changer. They haven’t had a setter as good as her since probably Koberstein 10 years ago

Small correction. I believe Bray is a Red shirt Freshman. Skyrabak and Murray are the only two MU starters who returned and are healthy. Foti and Bray are redshirt frosh who both sat last year. Vanden Berg and Svetnik are out on ACL rehab. Vanden Berg may be further along as she went down last year with about seven games to go. Overall, MU is very young so consistency will be key as players gain experience. I was encouraged that they fought back after they became unraveled in that third set. As to getting over the hump versus Creighton, these two teams are very close. Theis does a very good job in early season prep, can he continue to advance the team in Big East play? If they beat ISU today, it will be their best start ever going into conference play which was a bit unexpected after graduation and injuries from last season. One small correction; Svetnik is back. She played last week against Milwaukee I think. I think she had a kill and an Ace.
