At the time, I remember thinking “Well that was fun while it lasted.” Didn’t think Theis could maintain the success. Silly me. |

This will be a telling weekend for Illinois. I re-watched the EIU match and that only made me more worried about our outlook for the rest of the season. Our serve receive and defense is still so concerning. An OVC team was getting us out of system more times than not. Hell - we nearly lost a set to them!
Hopefully they prove that Wednesday night was just a fluke and we get some solid wins this weekend...

Kudos to EIU and especially their libero. She ate us up. She was digging bombs from our players. I just have to wonder why we cannot find a lib like theirs?
