I have read a few people complimenting Em Ehman. For me, she’s just too much. Maybe she feels like she needs to carry the play-by-play guy. She needs to simmer down a bit. She’s the Gus Johnson of volleyball. |

I like the passion she infuses the match with, but that's me. I've listened to Katie George, and that gal really does get on my nerves. Ehman doesn't have the same effect on me. But the criticisms of her are valid. She does seem to make it her job to comment after every play. But...ISN'T that her job? And yes, every play and every point can seem dialed to 11. Tough to have an ebb and flow to your commentary if it's always at max. I dunno. I like her. But I like all the comments ragging on her, soooo. It’s the volume for me. If she said everything instead of exclaiming it, I’d be on board. Just turn her mic to 80% and we’re all good. |
