I said it yesterday and I’ll say it again today, playing teams twice in a row does no one any good except for the lesser team in situations like this. Imagine if we were playing Georgia or Alabama instead today, which used to be the setup pre-Covid. I’m over it, both from the fan experience perspective and for these teams.

I actually think for some fans it makes it a lot cheaper and feasible to travel to road matches (or even home matches for that matter). Same accommodation, no travel inbetween matches, matches on back-back days with no off days. It's overall more economical, even for fans. |
