17-14 Poly, but Schwarzenblock lives up to her nickname!

Werkkkk Cal Poly Dollyzzz!
Not a fan of Stockham but if she plays like this, it’ll be a problem for their conference period

25-20 Cal Poly for the win. Serving run for Dvoracek late helped seal the deal.

Great win for Cal Poly! They will be tough to beat in BW if they can keep this up and not have a lapse.

Cal Poly was amped up as expected. And the Gym was a frggn sauna in there, must've been like close to 80 degress, lol. Beach got outblocked for the first time this year. Not unexpectd, PHilips is a really solid libero.
Cal Poly's frosh setter is solid.
Dvoracek is clutch, so she looked close to 2019.
the two surprising things were Beach could not put a better block on Stockham. Cal Poly was setting to the pins predictably. Dvoracek and Stockham put a hurt on the ball for sure.
the other was Cal Poly dug a lot more balls, part of that was Beach didn't get the same quality of swings as Poly, part setting and part passing.
Definitely not he best backrow play out of Beach and not a great receiving match. Poly put a lot of pressure on with their serve, especially Dvoracek in the clutch. huge clutch kill by Dvoracek at 20-19 then a serving run, she basically shut the door.
Beach is simply running too many BICs, it's not non-conference all the coaches know it now.
Cal Poly with Hiatt is just more complete at the pins
Cal Poly's main weakness is Stockham is not good returning serve, they basically survived her receiving.
will be interesting to see how both teams respond tomm from an intense match
Beach has some soul-searching with this offense.

Cal Poly hit something like .030 in the 4th set and still won it. Between service and hitting errors LBSU gave them 15 points in that set. Not going to win many matches doing that.
LBSU out of the gate with a loss and it will be interesting on how the coaches and players respond in the next couple of weeks.

LBSU definitely has kinks to work out, and the opening loss is not ideal. Hawai'i is my second favorite team, and I watch a lot of them, and the separation I see between them and the rest of the league is Igiede. LBSU has reloaded very well and is in the mix still.
