Her freshman year, she was up against Kelli Barry and I think she could've been given more opportunities to work into that role. Her sophomore year, Fleck and McCall came in, but I do think she could've gotten more looks at a DS role if UCLA wasn't running that awful 6-2. It is what it is; Hinkle is closer to home and doing great. I'm happy for her. I think she would've stayed if she'd been given opportunities. Ahh ok yes yes, you’re right. I was never impressed with Barry. Totally agree she would’ve stayed had she given more opportunities (Campeau’s serve was good but not great, it’s not like we went on long scoring runs with it). Whatever the reason she left, we are thrilled to have her. She keeps us in the match and is so exciting to watch. Literally bleeds for this team.

Purdue is going to drop something this year, probably Illinois, but happy to say not today!

Hawks played with an enthusiasm that I don’t remember ever seeing before. Admittedly, I have a short memory. But it was fun watching, and rooting for them today. Barnes engineering a turnaround, deserves a load of credit.
Purdue is solid even on a so-so passing and transition day.
Hudson supremacy. Coming to a gym near you.

How did Paul Sunderland find Coralville, Iowa? 😳 Glad he did 🏐🎤 well he did say he was in Iowa City (not Coralville) in the open

I was impressed with Iowa's fight and thought they extended several rallies and made Purdue grind. I hope they pull an upset or two and put a scare into some top teams.

Purdue was hanging on by a thread. But a win is a win. Purdue needs to be more consistent. They showed their youth again. Purdue just needs to get better and better…not be stagnant. This team has been so fun to watch and are shocking a lot of people right now.

Good showing for the Hawks. Hopefully they build off this and continue to improve.

Just watched the replay. Iowa’s middles hit at an incredible clip. Jones with 17 kills (.481) and Mcsweeney 9 kills (.615). Both rightsides for Iowa hit negative. If they get anything out of those 2 positions they take it to Purdue. Eva the freshman for Purdue is special. Iowa gained some respect imo, and have potential to knock off some other Big 10 teams. And the arena and floor looked incredible on tv. Nice crowd to.

I thought Iowa did a good job against Hudson & she still hit over .300😂. It felt like Ellis really provided the spark Purdue needed. She was consistently hitting over the block & helped them push through in sets 3 & 4.
