Every match with Illinois goes to 5 it seems like with Purdue lol. I am hoping for a 5 setter going the Boilers’ way on Friday. I just looked at the record book - the last 3 matches have been five-setters. |

I just mixed up a batch of orange Kool-Aid and picked Illinois in 4. They have yet to play to their potential this year. If someone would give Tamas a passer for the weekend it would be helpful.

Illinois is, hands down, the toughest serving team in the B1G. I'm not sure if Schermerhorn will be available tonight -- I didn't see her in any brief practice videos this week. I think Hornung is more than capable of holding down the libero jersey, but there are no options if passing breaks down at any point.
Renner should be back. Wouldn't mind if Purdue ran the 5-2 again. I feel like Ellis/Chinn/Koch/Colvin all have to have a big offensive night. Ellis has done pretty well in that L1 spot, but she's gonna need to be big OOS. Colvin needs to find her offensive mojo. And Koch needs to vary her shot selection as well as putting up a big block.
Out of all the conference matches, Illinois always seems to be the toss up for Purdue.
