I want more chaos so Illinois in 4. Yes, I cheer for chaos, but the kind of chaos that will create an opportunity for Purdue to win at least a share of the Big Ten. That is real chaos. Please be on the same page. 😂 Sadly we are not on the same page about Purdue sharing the B1G champs. I am still a bit salty that they swept the Gophers. But Purdue and MN sharing the champs, that can work. We can work on that

Jess Nunge is expected to miss her third straight match with injury which means r-freshman setter Brooke Mosher is likely to make her third start at OH in her place. Nunge had been hitting .222 and is one of Illinois's best servers, with 15 aces on the year. Nunge doesn't receive the same level of fanfare that Raina Terry gets but she's a reliable pin with some crafty shot range and seems to be a steadying influence on her teammates on the court. Her absence is a big loss but Mosher is a versatile athlete who filled in nicely in both Illini victories last weekend.
The biggest Illini weakness this season is probably passing. This offseason, they graduated two of their most experienced passers in Kuper and Cooney and the 2022 Illini have already cycled through several passing formations this young season. Nunge began the season playing six rotations and was one of the main passers. In Week 3 they began subbing her out for Becca Sakoda to play the back row. Mosher had been subbing in to DS for Kayla Burbage but she was mostly hidden in serve-receive. The past two games that Mosher is playing OH, Sophie Gregus has been playing DS for Burbage. Caroline Barnes and Terry have held down the fort, both passing well despite the other SR personnel variation.
Hope we get a good match tonight! I haven't watched any full Purdue matches this season so it'll be cool to see this new-look team. Hudson sounds like the real deal and Hannah Clayton has always been fun to watch.

So happy that I got the Big Ten Plus app.

It's supposed to be a beautiful fall night in Champaign-Urbana so I'm hoping we get a good turnout at Huff Hall, including the Boiler faithful. There was a small but rowdy contingent of the Purdue student section that made the trip last year and I honestly think their spirited cheers tipped the scales in favor of the Boilers in that fun five-setter. Best of luck to both squads tonight!

This has the makings of a really great match. And...no pressure...but one of these teams will be undefeated in the B1G and tied for #1 in the B1G after tonight. With Nebraska. Unless...OMG, could Rutgers actually...

Every match with Illinois goes to 5 it seems like with Purdue lol. I am hoping for a 5 setter going the Boilers’ way on Friday. Pulling for the Boilers but I like Illinois too

Significant Purdue student section in Huff tonight!!! I saw on Twitter that it was a bus full. I thought that it was relatively small compared to the Illinois student section. They probably have just as many students in their section as Purdue does at home.

Lets go ILLINI! I think Mosher need a big night. She has filled in quite nicely for Nunge. She has better shot selection and plays a but smarter. She is an amazing athlete. Cant wait to see who we have blocking Eva Hudson. She has shined for Purdue this year on the OH.

Probably about 30, which isn't too shabby for an away game. And they are making some noise. Should be fun!
