It's funny how Washington, Frantti and Simone Lee all came into PSU together and so much has transpired between them over the years. I think Washington/Frantti were the number 1/2 recruits but everyone was most excited about Lee who was like 12 or 13 maybe? IIRC, Frantti had a solid Freshman year but then pretty much disappeared for the rest of her career or took a back seat to Lee. PSU fans, what happened, because I truly don't remember.

It's funny how Washington, Frantti and Simone Lee all came into PSU together and so much has transpired between them over the years. I think Washington/Frantti were the number 1/2 recruits but everyone was most excited about Lee who was like 12 or 13 maybe? Bulgaria won that set and they kicked the hornets nest really focused to close it. I never noticed how fast Washington is or maybe it’s cause I’ve been watching college ball but she seemed especially quick today She's certainly firing on all cylinders. |

AFAIK (others may know more)... Frantti had back problems for the majority of her later years at PSU, but she never took serious time off. She was a fighter, never complained, and loved playing for Russ Rose. It was frustrating to watch as a fan, because the coaching staff never divulged player health issues. I found out only after she graduated. |
