Any chance Barreau got a Head Coaching job somewhere? Or Becker left so he could live with his wife (asst at Iowa) - all speculation

Becker's wife is from Tulsa. There are two openings in Tulsa (Tulsa and Oral Roberts). Perhaps the duo moves, each landing a HC gig? Wishful thinking...

There was a convention (2012?) where Karch and Shelton presented back to back in an enormous ballroom. It was packed for Karch and when he was done (I recall it being an excellent session), 90% of the room cleared out. Pretty much just college coaches stayed to see Shelton give what was easily a top-3 best seminar I've ever seen. A titan of the game, yet somehow still underrated. I was there!! His insight into motivation and psychology in the past few years have been enlightening. Anyone keen on sharing their notes or a recording?

Bre Henry named permanent head coach at Ole Miss This makes a bit of sense. She did a solid job with the team after the mid-season mess. And, likely also the economical choice, given I am assuming they have to pay out Banwarth for a while.

That hire seems like it would be a stretch for Southern Miss, let alone Ole Miss.

That hire seems like it would be a stretch for Southern Miss, let alone Ole Miss. Look at what jcvball22 said. It does make a bit of sense. Especially the economy part. They can reward her for a job well done under trying circumstances, maintain some semblance of normality, and they can also do a mulligan when the payout to Banworth is finished.

Nebraska GA --> Santa Clara Assistant --> SEC Head Coach Unusual path, but unusual circumstances in Oxford as well. Also think there are more attractive SEC openings (and openings in general) this hiring cycle. "clear choice after a national search" is an interesting quote though since I don't know if there was ever actually a job posting.
